Genshin Impact high res illustrations

I've also included a Ningguang painting I did August 2021 (so... four months ago). It's pretty horrible, isn't it? That waxy skin is grotesquely unappealing.
I'm kind of amazed at the change, because I didn't really go through any burnouts during this period and didn't really feel the improvement. I gotta say I'm pretty proud though... I feel like I'm getting closer to the style that I want for myself. I feel like I have a good enough grasp of colour and lighting now that I can better focus on the illustration itself and not the style.
(But then again, history has shown that every time I feel this way, I end up falling in love with a completely different style within a couple of months. We'll see. I think it's good to experiment, but I think I do it a little too much. Kind of like taking all sorts of courses at college and then ending up with no major. But right now I feel like I've gotten a major breakthrough.)
