MV Director Of New Jeans Threatens Legal Action Against ADOR

UPDATE: He has since republish videos EXCEPT the video that the sponsor, Apple, didn't want published because they didn't want their brand there. It seems he really didn't understand the letter and went straight to the media instead of asking someone with brains to explain the letter of ADOR. 

Shin Woo-seok, CEO of Dolphiners Films and the director behind several music videos for NewJeans, has called on ADOR to issue a public apology.

On the 9th, Shin Woo-seok shared a lengthy statement on his personal social media. In it, he addressed ADOR's CEO Kim Joo-young and Vice President Lee Do-kyung, saying, "I have recordings and emails, so stop lying." He added, "In ADOR's statement, I'm accused of spreading false information. If that's true, why are you so eager to contact and persuade me? After everything we've been through, it's hard to adjust to this bullying."

Shin further explained, "Based on legal advice and our prior agreement, the ownership of Ban Hee-soo's channel belongs to Dolphiners Films." He clarified that while the ownership of the channel isn't a major concern for Dolphiners Films, its existence as an extension of their work is important. "This channel was created for the fans from the start, without any financial gain, so I don't want them to worry about its potential deletion due to this dispute."

Shin then emphasized his willingness to transfer the channel's ownership to ADOR, under the condition that it is maintained in its current state, without any deletion, editing, or additional content.

He also made a formal request: "Apologize. If ADOR issues a public apology that acknowledges the extreme demands that disrespected our partnership, the breach of our agreement by accusing us of copyright infringement, and the unfair criticism of Dolphin Kidnapping Group and me, then we will transfer Ban Hee-soo's channel to ADOR."

He warned, "If no apology is given, I will explore transferring the channel directly to the fans and pursue a defamation lawsuit against ADOR, backed by the existing agreement."

Shin Woo-seok, known for directing NewJeans' "Ditto" and "ETA" videos, revealed that due to ADOR's recent management changes and their demands to remove content, all videos, including those planned for release, have been halted.

In response, ADOR stated that their request was only to stop content posted without proper authorization and without consulting advertisers. They claimed they never asked for all the videos to be deleted. Shin Woo-seok has since criticized ADOR for manipulating the media.
