PART 1: HYBE X GRAMMY EXHIBIT
Added 2024-08-10 09:45:00 +0000 UTC60% of the area is BTS primarily because their history is the foundation of HYBE'S history.
It really started with them.
THINGS I LIKE:
1- Grammy managed to show the differences in height and built of BTS members with their clothing. They didn't fit the clothing in a single size mannequin. They made mannequins to somewhat accurately show the height and built of the BTS members.
2- The interviews (IT WILL BE IN 2ND PART 2) really focused on the songwriting process of BTS members. Often, BTS talks specific songs they have written but this interview is just about their process.
3- There were interactive areas like the karaoke, dance floor and listening area to enjoy the music.
4- I appreciated the timelines, tracing the growth of BTS and Big Hit to HYBE. While I witness it (as a fan), it's easy to forget the chronology.
THINGS I WISH THEY CAN IMPROVE ON:
1- The space is really small. I think there are more stories they can tell but they don't have enough space. I wish the important milestones were covered like BTS' very first Billboard award.
2- I wish there's a clear path, start to finish. So that if you want to catch the chronology, it will be easier.
3- I wish there's a Bang Sihyuk interview.
4- I wish they showed first office, rehearsal studio, and first fan meet (30 people I believe) they had and then ended with Allegiant or Busan concert. It would have been amazing to see both side by side.
5- I was hoping to see a photo or video of all their idols in one frame, in order of entry or debut, even if it is photoshopped or chroma keyed.
6- Lee Hyun. Come on! Why wasn't he there?
I hope they do one more with a bigger space and more expansive story telling of their growth and impact to Korean music.
