Afghan Syndrome *. (Vol 0)
Added 2021-09-06 05:34:26 +0000 UTCI had an idea for a series of drawings on the theme of the surviving Anya. But it is much more logical to associate this series with the real invasion of Afghanistan by the USSR, and not the beginning of the WW3, as in the original drawing with Anya.
*Afghan Syndrome (Афганский синдром) - slang term for PTSD, still used in Russia. Around 198X, the USSR recognized PTSD as a problem, due to the passage of many people through the Afghan service.

2021-09-06 05:54:16 +0000 UTCInteresting. And thanks for the translation. I was one of 60 or so junior high kids who signed up for a high-school Russian class - out of an incoming 1100 sophomores. They needed 90 students to offer the class, and I ended up taking German instead. (This was over 50 years ago . . .)
