So many series and films neglect that. If you don’t care about the characters, you won’t care about anything else.

I'd like for you to consider that this show is meant to be a critique of modern-day capitalism, which incentivizes the uber-rich to keep the rest of society below them, forcing them to fight amongst each other for the scraps. But, I decided to at least watch episodes 1-3 with you and then I couldn't stop! I ended up binging the other 6 episodes and also saw that they made it into a real competition show with contestants from all over the world. I hope to check that out with you as well.

The plain "English" option is what you should be using as it's far more accurate. The "English CC" option is what you're using and it's far less accurate. It doesn't properly translate what the characters are saying sometimes and the tone is misleading. I highly suggest using the plain English option for best experience!
