Yeah I'm not saying it's breaking the system but things start like that and I don't love it. Bumi moved his head, this is just psychic. Although season 1 already went too far with it and 2 totally broke the system, so I was just using it as an example. But yeah, this is actually a drop on an already overflowing glass xD.

There are examples of that in real life as well, although not bending obviously. Plus in The Last Airbender, Bumi was able to Earthbend with his face lol. Although in Amon's case it is pretty wonk.

2024-05-05 09:09:32 +0000 UTCPlease remember that season 1 and 2 the writers were told they were not getting extended. Season 3 they got told they were getting 2 seasons to finish the story. That is why it feels so different. Also suddenly about halfway in season 3 Nickelodeon stopped airing the episodes on tv. I'll let you find out why that was the case, Nickelodeon said: "We aren't getting the numbers".

2024-05-03 22:08:14 +0000 UTCAbout Dai Li and Laogai Lake, just last week I was reading a book about the Chinese Civil War and the Cultural Revolution. And found that Laogai was actually a criminal justice system used in China, the purpose of which was re-educate people through labor. And Dai Li is the name of a real general. I mean, I'm a true Avatar fan and just found these facts a week ago. I may have read this before but never really paid attention to it, but reading it last week just blow my mind like "wait, what, I know that" 😂

Some call it expanding, I call it turning a good hard magic system into a bad soft one. Keep adding loose pieces to the puzzle and then you break the system and can solve conflicts with vague magical solutions like they already did in season 2.
