New, Tentative Art Style!

Hey guys!

So, real talk. It's no secret that we've been struggling to keep an interesting release schedule for a while now. We think this is mostly because we take too much time getting things to a level we can live with, and that there seems to be a mismatch in our own expectations versus what we can do by ourselves. So far, we've been dealing with this by constantly iterating over the same piece of content, making it a little better each time, but the overall cost of that strategy seems to be more than we can afford right now.

At this moment, we could have a schedule of three regular updates per month (one every ten days), containing either new versions of the game or new assets for its scenes. In order for the two of us to keep meeting the deadlines, we'll need to use different drawing techniques.

Here's a sample of the new art-style that we can develop within those deadlines (NSFW): https://imgur.com/U6wMCDy

Just to be more clear, we'd be talking about three of those (plus writing, setting and whatnot) every ten days or so.

In summary, we're considering exchanging some of the polish of the artworks for... more artworks, basically. You all have been really patient with us and we appreciate that to no end, but the truth is having one small update a month is not very sustainable, nor fair. But the worse would be to make this decision without considering your thoughts.

So, what do you think? Should we use the easier art-style and wait until we find someone skilled enough to polish them efficiently, or should we keep making things better at a slower rate until we train ourselves to do it fast enough?

We're leaving this post open for more elaborate discussion if anybody wants in. There's also a poll here for the $2-tier up: https://www.patreon.com/posts/14677236

Again, all this is mostly a suggestion, and we'd really like to read your opinions! You can add a comment, or use the Discord chat that we'll open either tomorrow or the day after.

Thanks guys, and see you soon!
