She only became friends with Eclipse after firing magic at her and apologizing after Eclipse tried to punch her for it.
Arcane Shade's goal is to learn every possible magic spell she can including many that warp time and space.
Arcane's disregard for safety is because she believes in order to learn magic, you must use it in its purest state with no preparation as it hinders the capability of the spell.
