Rule Change Regarding Video Drive
Added 2024-01-05 18:48:24 +0000 UTCEffective immediately I have officially changed the rules regarding Google Drive access as follows:
Upon cancellation of membership, you may be removed from the Google Drive immediately.
I cannot continue to meticulously track when canceled members access expires for Patreon and then remove them from the Google Drive on that specific day. I'm managing the Google Drive permissions multiple times a week and having to go onto my computer to check who canceled and when, so I've simply decided that's a lot of work, and with the inclusions of gifs there is still ways to access video content without the google drive, but more importantly, I feel the concerns around content leaks are much higher with the drive, warranting extra precautions. I've found that I've let ex-members stay in the drive much longer than intended because I didn't remove them when they canceled as well as other concerns. Bottom line is the google drive is not that manageable, and this is what I feel is necessary to avoid having to take down the drive altogether.
You may be wondering: what can I do to avoid this? You can choose to cancel your membership closer to your renewal date. For this month and last I have given the planned content schedule to all members so you can know what's coming up, and this should help you plan when to cancel.
Let me be very clear that this is not to punish anyone for simply canceling. I understand that financial situations change and so does my content, but unfortunately, I have to do this so that I can manage this more seamlessly.
P.S. For active members, please check your google drive access and make sure I did not accidentally revoke you. If I did, pm me.
