2024-10-09 00:30:14 +0000 UTCThanks for a great reaction. Really glad you're enjoyinng it. I was captivated by this series when it came out. I think I was around 9-10. I'm really surprised that what we see onscreen is just a small fraction of his overall work within this 'universe'. There are 5 books that make up the whole series + smatterings of related material, yet only the first book has had an onscreen adaption. Am pretty sure about that, please correct me if I'm wrong! I've read one other book in the series (think it's The Restaurant at the End of the Universe) and love it for its weirdness! I think his work very much crosses into the level of Genius .

2024-10-08 10:46:49 +0000 UTCThe guy at the start who walks into the sea is the writer himself, Douglas Adams. He also has a blink and miss it cameo in the first episode, at the end of the bar when Ford and Arthur are buying the drinks.
