An exercise in positivity
Added 2019-11-22 15:01:01 +0000 UTCI cannot begin to express how hyped I am for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake to drop. I've been a Final Fantasy and JRPG nerd for more than half of my life. As soon as I saw Tifa's look for the Remake, I knew right then that I wanted to cosplay her. She's a strong, capable woman and I love characters like her. The idea to do a Tifa boudoir set came after my actual cosplay was completed, and trust me, releasing this took guts.
As you can see, I am not a thin woman. I've got curves and bumps and cellulite. It's taken me a long, long time to make peace with the way my body looks and feel beautiful in my own skin. Cosplay is largely to thank for the confidence I was eventually able to find in myself.
Sure, some people aren't as accepting of a curvy figure and say hurtful things, but I don't let it get to me, because I'm happy with me. This is my body and my skin. It's what I've got and I thank God for it. <3
