They cleared their throats, shifting the conversation to a more practical suggestion. "Anyway, instead of that, how about you come here?" Diamond proposed. "We can spend time having fun in our room."
Pearl chimed in, reinforcing the idea. "Yes, I already announced that Ledred is closing today due to what happened last time. I can't ask the manager to come and open the club for us, right?" It was a fair point, and I could sense Pearl's reluctance to handle the logistics of opening the club just for our small gathering.
I considered their proposal. It sounded like a good plan, especially considering the circumstances. "Okay. Send me your position. I will open my portal to the place close to it," I agreed.
"Okay," Pearl agreed. "But we have to sleep first tonight; tomorrow morning, we have a way to have breakfast with the royal family," she reminded us of our early start.
I glanced at the clock once again, trying to calculate the time gap between us. 'Right, it's around nighttime there,' I thought. “I guess I'll come like three or four hours before the event starts. What do you think?" I suggested, hoping it would be a convenient time for them.
“Sounds good. After that, you can go to Mia's place," Pearl suggested, offering a plan for my schedule.
“Yes, it's settled then," I confirmed, feeling excited about the upcoming events.
"Okay. See ya later, handsome," Diamond bid her farewell with a playful tone.
“Muach~” Pearl added in a spoiled tone, ending the call with a playful kiss sound.
Their playful antics never failed to make me chuckle. Once they hung up, I placed my phone down on the bed once again. A smile crept onto my lips, a genuine one fueled by the anticipation of spending time with my close companions.
“It's gonna be a long, nice day for me,” I muttered to myself, relishing the prospect of a day filled with laughter and camaraderie. It had been too long since I last had the chance to hang out with my harem, and I was eager to make the most of it.
I couldn't help but reflect on how rare it was to gather everyone in one place. With our busy schedules and individual responsibilities, such moments were few and far between. Despite the occasional pang of sadness at our inability to spend more time together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the moments we did share.
With a contented sigh, I lay back on the bed, sinking into the softness of the mattress as I let out a long, tired sigh. With my phone resting at my side, I closed my eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion settling over me. The events of the past few days had taken their toll, leaving me drained both physically and mentally.
Despite the nagging hunger that gnawed at my stomach, I knew it was too early for breakfast. Six o'clock in the morning was far too early for most people to be awake, let alone sitting down for a meal. So, with a resigned shrug, I made the decision to indulge in a little more sleep.
I drifted back into slumber. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief knowing that I had some time to rest before the day truly began. With nothing pressing on my schedule until later in the afternoon, I allowed myself to sink deeper into the embrace of sleep.
But even as I welcomed the warmth of sleep, a small part of me remained on edge, wary of the possibility that the colossal eye might decide to pay me another unwelcome visit. The thought lingered in the back of my mind like a shadow.
Still, I pushed aside those worries for the time being, focusing instead on the simple pleasure of letting my mind drift and my body relax.
Unexpectedly, quickly, I slipped deeper into sleep. The passage of time seemed to blur, the moments melding together into a seamless continuum of restfulness. I couldn't say how long I had been sleeping; it could have been minutes, or it could have been hours. Time seemed to lose its meaning as I surrendered myself to the embrace of slumber.
It was a pleasant surprise, how easily sleep had come to me despite feeling relatively refreshed already. I had expected some resistance, perhaps a restless tossing and turning as my mind struggled to quiet down. But instead, it was as if my body had welcomed the opportunity to sink back into the depths of sleep, embracing the tranquility that enveloped me like a warm blanket.
But then, just as sleep had claimed me fully, a sudden intrusion shattered the tranquility of my slumber. The sunlight, now streaming in through the window with unwavering intensity, pierced through the veil of darkness and landed squarely on my closed eyelids, bathing them in a warm, golden glow.
With a groan, I stirred, the unexpected brightness pulling me reluctantly back to wakefulness. I clicked my tongue in annoyance and furrowed my forehead in displeasure. The sunlight was like a relentless assailant, invading the sanctity of my sleep and rudely dragging me back to reality. With a hiss of frustration, I raised my hand to shield my eyes from the intrusive rays, feeling like a vampire caught unawares by the break of dawn.
"What the heck!" I protested, my voice thick with irritation.
Peeking through barely opened eyelids, I caught sight of Celia standing by the window, her arms crossed and her expression one of exasperation. She looked like she meant business, like a middle-aged woman trying to rouse her lazy husband on a Sunday morning.
"It's almost 9:00 AM, brother! Wake up!" she admonished, her voice cutting through the fog of sleep like a sharp knife.
I groaned, feeling the weight of responsibility settling over me like a heavy blanket. As much as I would have liked to linger in the blissful realm of dreams, it seemed that the demands of the waking world were calling me back with a vengeance.
