PATRON INFO: I'm launching a hardcover Kickstarter in June!

Hello Patrons! This message is just for you: I have a new book that I want to print and ship in 2023. It's sort of Treasure Planet-esque, with sailing ships in space, dragons, and a worlds-ending-threat.

This being a new series, I really want to launch it as a hardcover edition. That's why I want to use Kickstarter as a pre-order platform: in order to do hardcovers, I need to get a lot of backers for a physical product. I'm on Kickstarter a lot (for dice), and I know there are a lot of collectors there.

I'm planning to launch the Kickstarter campaign June 1, 2022.

I really appreciate each and every one of you on Patreon who backs every single one of my books digitally. Right now, we're still finalizing Kickstarter rewards, and want to make the campaign fair to Patrons first.

With the consideration that I'd like to not release the ebook until the hardcover is printed and shipped, are there any Patron-exclusive rewards that you'd be interested in?

- Glynn

P.S. Click here to get to the post from earlier today announcing your free version of City in the Sky

Here's more information about the Kickstarter:

Magical sailing ships like City in the Sky
Space Fantasy like Starship's Mage
Elves, Orcs and Wizards in Space!

Treasure Planet meets Dark Crystal in Glynn Stewart's newest Space Fantasy novel, Nine Sailed Star (Aether Spheres Book 1).

If you enjoyed the magical sailing ships of City in the Sky, you'll love the tall ship space travel of Aether Spheres. Glynn is returning to the realm of the fantasy genre with a space adventure series set among stars and planets that work in a much different way from the ones in our own universe...

The Kickstarter launches June 2022. Go to our Kickstarter page and click to be notified when the project goes live.

I've radically downsized my paper books collection so that's not of interest to me. I don't know if authors can *give* books to libraries/schools/reading programs, but if something like that were possible, I'd sponsor a couple of copies. Okay, even if it isn't possible I'd probably kick in for a couple of copies. Your books have given me many happy hours; if this is something that you want to do, I'm happy to do a little to return the favor.

imho the patreaon is a fair deal. i love the ebooks & the ability to get them early but i get the 'want' for doing a KC :) nothing else needed i think *shrug*

I do Patreon for you because I want your books as soon as possible. I also want you to make as much money from your writing as possible. I want you to continue to write more books. Those are my two very selfish rewards. I need nothing else. Having moved and managed hundreds of thousands of dead trees in my library career I no longer do dead trees. I do understand those who love them though. Thank you for the many hours of fun. Sandy

I don't personally collect anything physical, but unique book jackets seem like it would fit the bill of both being relevant to the product itself and being something that could be customized easily and ostensibly cheaply. You could also combine physical and digital rewards by putting either QR codes or NFC tags onto the custom book jacket, and hide "something" behind those. Wallpapers, a special audio/video message, behind the scenes footage, etc. Those ideas could also be actual Kickstarter tiers.
