Milky Talks: The Post-Crystal Story Blog/Everything's Eventual
Added 2024-06-16 02:14:31 +0000 UTCHi there!
First of all, I just want to say thanks to the new patrons who have joined since I announced I would be moving earlier this month. As of right now, I’m currently packing up my belongings with my deposit thankfully covered. I’ll still be moving stuff out until the end of the month, but while I work on other commissions and stories during that time, I thought it might be interesting to start writing some blogs for those who want to learn more about the process that goes into my work. Through these, I want to help inform readers about what goes into certain stories, how I plan them out whether they be personal works or commissions, and maybe help any of you who are having trouble writing yourselves.

With this first blog, I want to make an example out of the latest story I shared, that being the Crystal fic I wrote for an anonymous fan of the artist behind her. Now first off, I want to preface this by saying that while the original artist is still around, they’ve more or less tried to push away from having a public persona especially in the light of how certain platforms like Twitter treat artists on top of the generally negative popularity that comes from being successful for creating NSFW works. Another artist who I followed back in the day, Capdocks, quietly retired for a similar reason, which I also respect, although I should also mention that like the original creator of Crystal, he too is okay with still receiving fanart or fan fictions of his characters. Even if someone is no longer around, it never hurts to keep some of their spirit alive depending on the circumstances (xMetalHusky being an exception since he explicitly stated he didn’t want anyone to make fan art of his old characters before he left as well).
I bring all this up because when it came to writing the Crystal story, I wanted to pay as much respect to the original creator as best I could while making sure the fan who reached out to me for the story was happy. Obviously, their outline/ideas were all theirs, but they were more than happy to brainstorm with me to ensure it remained faithful to what the creator wanted for her. Making a character who leans into certain fetishes and tropes is okay at the very least if they aren’t solely defined by those traits as just their personality and nothing more. This is why for certain stories it’s important to imagine scenarios like butt expansion or even farting through different lenses, so you know how each interaction goes down. And it’s for that reason why writing this was such a treat considering the character in question is bat shit crazy and loves to throw her weight around.
Setting the scene for a night of smelly thrills and how the characters within thrive
For every story I write, my goal is to usually keep them timely with the season depending on when they’re being created. With the Crystal story, I originally wrote a very rough draft sometime in late 2022 barely before I started my Patreon and when I lacked a lot of confidence on top of skill. The reason I didn’t finish it much sooner simply came down to other obligations in life alongside the fan I was doing it for getting busier themselves, with them recently helping to finish what we started. At the time the prompt was simple, but putting it into action required some extra thinking. Femdom/domination stories in general need that extra push to emphasize the struggle at hand without feeling like it’s been done countless times. One easy trick I found came from when I got the idea to frame the setting in a grittier environment as opposed to something more sensual like the story would imply. In other words, I looked outside the realm of prose to set the scene.

A while back, I started thinking about pre-rendered games I played on the original Playstation from the Resident Evil trilogy to Parasite Eve, one of my favorite games that the console has to offer. The moment I remembered it, I scoured through as many old playthroughs of certain places throughout the game, then broke them down so I could have their basic elements laid out, while also avoiding going into so much detail that the average reader might get bored. You might have heard of ‘white room syndrome’ when it comes to writing stories where there’s little to no information about where a character is. It can be easy to fall into making mistakes like that when you’re just starting out (my first few commissioned stories from 2021 are no exception to this rule), I think giving too much can also be a problem, so it’s worth only writing what might be necessary.
This one setting from P.E.’s museum has a lot going on for a single section of a much larger dungeon, yet there’s so much to pull from here alone. Glass is littering the steel panel thanks to the shattered display behind Aya; wires hanging below and drooping across the ground, juxtaposed by the shadow of a pterodactyl’s skeleton. They’re complemented by a moody light that flickers on-and-off the further she descends with someone or rather something groaning around her. Try as she might however, there are no other shadows besides her or the pterodactyl’s - the pterodactyl that’s now swaying gently when it first was static after she entered the room. Any one of these alone would be more than enough to paint a picture in a reader’s head until they all coalesce to make the world feel alive even if there’s only maybe two people during the scene.
Of course, it’s worth noting now that it’s important not to overemphasize these certain things again and again as the story continues, so I only mention them sparingly or for when a character is first introduced if necessary. Maybe some of these certain things stand out to them in some way to help give us a clue as to who they are, like the smell of formaldehyde or the remains of an exhibit they saw when they were very young. At times, you can hold on to these certain elements, letting the characters' reactions tell you what you need and have that work vice versa for certain actions. The opening of the story where Randall sees his own reflection in the puddle was one of the first ideas that I wanted to try when I started writing, and it’s why I wanted Crystal to bring that back up as she bullied him underneath her ass, demonstrating how feeble he is as a self-insert character to the story when saying how fast his heart beat has already been done.
Which brings us to…
Butts and Hearts and Farts - The Joys of Life
I really like butts. So many stories I’ve written over the last three years have involved someone’s big fat ass making a scene, several of them in fact. But and this is a but bigger than the ones I’ve penned before, it can be tricky writing stories about them so much without them growing stale. Obviously, I don’t mind taking on specifically fetishistic work since I still have fun with them, however I always strive to ensure that they never take the overall center stage in spite of whoever the characters are. Characters and personalities are more than just kinks even for stories like this, as silly as it sounds. Now while this story was overseen by the fan of Crystal’s who gave their input throughout on top of also giving the final say on what happens, I still ensured that no matter how horny she got, that her character remained important.
Case in point, the number of times she slams her ass on the ground or talks about how large her butt is, adding to the humiliation of the moment is something that I usually strive for over dramatic descriptions of how her thighs were larger than her head. Obviously with some stories, there is a level of telling you must share in order to get across the point; however I’ve also read a myriad of older butt-focused stories where a myriad of the descriptions usually repeat the same things, especially so in expansion works. As such, I want to focus on capturing the overall structure that goes towards them from the hips stretching past the shoulders down to mentioning that even the calves aren’t safe when it comes to the process.
The same sentiment can be applied to farts, where mentioning the act alone doesn’t so much excite me as the idea of someone who doesn’t look like they would be so crass to rip ass manages to be instantly appealing. Other aspects however, like what I mentioned before about the setting, should also coalesce here, allowing the readers to feel (for a lack of a better term) the farts or jiggles through words alone. Moments like Randall sweating as the gas humidifies the tiny amount of space Crystal offers him and her body anchoring to the ground once her ass is three times the size of her torso supplements the core aspect of the story, being the desperation that arrives after a horny succubus jumps you on the street to fart all over your face! And these supplements alone I think are enough to keep readers invested so that they see the story through to the end, just as things start to literally explode.
None of these elements would be complete without the right characters to anchor this plot. Since the story only required some otherwise straightforward players getting us along each point, it meant everything to me that I show who Randall and Crystal are when the story begins; Randall being introverted, jumpy, and a little slimy as opposed to Crystal, who’s happy to brag about how fat her ass is yet acts impulsively which leads to her making messes that she can’t handle. She wants to make this random guy on the street her plaything for the next half hour, but she bites off more than she can chew in spite of technically getting away with her night of thrills. Once she starts talking smack and smacking herself, you want to see what else she might do to the poor guy without using her hands so those who only remember her in drawings can imagine how she might be outside of those one-off pictures; the story thus gives us a taste of who she is for the audience to want to know more about her and where she might come from in later works! And that’s really fun to me.
Heading South(?)
It’s never been a scarier time to be a freelancer in a world where the nature of what you do is already unpredictable then quickly shifts towards an even messier state. Within twelve hours, artists and writers could step away altogether and not give any last goodbyes or final words to those who followed them over the years. But that doesn’t mean they should be forgotten. The internet is no stranger to remembering everything regardless of if we want it to, no matter how small that ‘thing’ is. Some of the first ideas I ever had for characters started back when I was maybe fourteen years old and first found a few accounts I probably shouldn’t have that I’m happy to say I’ve built off of since then. They’re the kind of private footnotes people can choose to put aside if they decide to and move on towards something else. Whether that leads to ambitions beyond being popular on Twitter is up to them.
For retired furry artists like Capdocks and Metalhuskyx, I can only imagine their old characters are likely the same way to them. But when I think back, I don’t think about how huge their asses are immediately; they’re there and they’re beautiful, but that goes without saying. The litany of secret lore these people have alongside the QnAs they might make (something I always enjoyed from Cap) are likely going to stand the test of time much longer, which is why when I set out to resurrect this old project, I wanted to get it right. Knowing that a lot of my patrons have read it and enjoyed it so far has been a blessing, but I’m more than content to have Crystal’s original creator give their approval on the finished story. They can have a piece of their character they can go back to for years to read and fantasize new ideas about. And maybe someday, their old fans might find this story and remember that artist’s work.
Which to me is what writing this story was all about.
