July 2023 Update! - Tier Changes, Scheduling, Poll Suggestions and more

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give an update at the beginning of a new month because there’s a lot I want to go over regarding smaller changes I’m making to my Patreon content on top of a new twist I’m implementing into July’s poll that I think you’d all like. As such, I’m dividing each main point into a separate section with the news about the poll being saved for the very end. None of them will drag on for terribly long, so don’t worry.

Changes to the $15 tier

While going over new benefits I could give to higher paying patrons, I realized offering only 500-999 words for a short prompt each month carried some restrictions that aren’t ideal when trying to construct a simple story. Originally, I considered making a higher tier that would allow people to request a 1,000-1,499 word long prompt, however given my current schedule I felt it would make things more complicated if someone were to request one by the end of a month when I’m winding down and planning what I do next. Which is why I’ve decided to go forward with a new system that involves requesting a much longer story by waiting until you’re ready.

How it will work is that if you’re pledged to the $15 tier and choose not to request a prompt around 500-999 words long for one month, you can wait until the next month to request a story that’s instead 500-1,499 word long in length. If you choose not to request anything then, another 500 words can be added to the count up until it reaches 2,000-2,499 words in length, which I’m choosing to have serve as the cut off point to avoid being overworked while doing other commissions. I’m hoping to have this way of essentially building credit serve as an incentive to those who are still pledged at the highest tier. It’s the least I can do for those who are so generous to me.

Upcoming schedule regarding stories

As stated in my last update months prior, I’ve been considering writing more cleaner/less fetish-oriented work to balance what I already have written in the queue that will still lean into NSFW territory, however I want to also be able to experiment by writing more dialogue-heavy stories as I’ve felt recently some of my other fics from earlier in the year could have been benefited from them. I started becoming more aware of this in April and only recently wanted to elaborate on this following the release of June’s poll winner story where I regret not having just a few extra moments where the characters there could have talked. As is, I feel it’s fine on its own, though for the longer form fics or commissions I want to make each word count instead of simply hitting a goal post and moving on.

As a result of this, going forward I’ll be prioritizing each commission on a case-by-case basis with smaller stories being finished first rather than alternating between all of my stories working on pieces of them at a time. I understand the frustration that comes from waiting and I am sorry for that, however I can’t bring myself to keep others in the dark whenever I feel burned out from writing too much. This was what made May in particular a struggle to go through (on top of other issues going on before then that I’ve worked through since) and I wish to rectify these issues at once. With that said, if you have commissioned me and are waiting to be updated, please message me and I’ll tell you when I’ll be able to get back to you as soon as possible. The last thing I want is to disappoint those who are supporting me.

July’s poll (or how I reached a personal goal and wanted to give back to the people by letting them suggest what I do next)

Recently, I crossed the $100+/month threshold and I’m beyond grateful to have reached this level of support. When I first started offering Patreon (and before that SubscribeStar) last November, I wasn’t anticipating many people would pledge to me, yet now I’ve come farther than where I was at this time last year and I want to say thank you to all of you for it. To commemorate this moment, I’ve decided that July’s poll selections won’t just be voted on by you, but rather you can suggest what I do next instead!

From today up until the Fourth of July at 11:59 PM CST, I will be taking suggestions from you, the patrons, on what to have for my next poll. The only rules I have in mind are that…

• You cannot suggest anything involving OCs, be it yours or someone else’s
• You must include the character(s) and the scenario you want with a brief outline for the story included
• You can suggest as many as four possible scenarios with a chance of one of them being selected
• And that the fetishes/kinks you suggest for the scenario must be related to something I’ve written about before (though the same doesn’t apply to the characters)

Once Wednesday comes around, the next poll will go up and end on Saturday at 11:59 PM CST. All patrons can freely suggest what they want, so even if you’re pledged to the $2 tier, don’t hesitate to offer your ideas to me. Again, I can’t promise all of the suggestions will be included, however rest assured this won’t be the last time I host something like this. Assuming how this turns out, I can see doing these to be a fun way to engage with you all as an audience and I hope everyone has as much fun with it too!
