Hello Tier 3 people! Yes, that's right, two Random Events in one day! The Mythic Game Of Life is full of surprises.
Although ... you are probably getting tired of seeing more and more iterations of the new Adventure Lists in Mythic 2e. Through playtesting, I'm refining how it works. There were problems with the last one that I posted on Oct. 1. For instance, although I liked the d20+d6 mechanic for generating a 1-25 result, that introduced a curve in dice probabilities that messed with the Lists too much. Also, I didn't like how the chunks of the Lists were broken up unevenly ... 1-6, then 1-12, then 1-20, then 1-25.
I've sought to fix both of those problems while still maintaining a List style that works with Mythic and will combine easily with The Adventure Crafter, without requiring modification to TAC, or either of the Mythic or TAC decks.
And that's what this current List is. You'll see it maintains the same staggered aspect of the last List, but spaced out evenly in 5 line chunks. The way it works is this ...
You fill in your Lists as normal. When you roll, you'll roll up to a two dice combination depending on how much of your List is filled. For instance, if you just have items in the first box (lines 1-5), then you only roll a 1d10 and consult the second column of dice results. If you have 6-10, then you roll a d4 and a d10 together, but not adding them. The d4 tells you which box to look at, and the d10 tells you which line in the box. If you have 11-15 items, then it's a d6 and d10. With 16-20 items it's a d8 and a d10. And at 21-25 it's a d10 and a d10.
This allows for even odds of rolling any List item, while making each section of the List a sort of mini-List itself until you break out into the next section.
