Greetings everyone! I have a Random Event for you Tier 3 people :)

Something that has always bothered me about Mythic is how little direction I gave to the formation and handling of Lists. You keep a List of Threads and Characters and when you need to roll for one, you roll random dice within the closest range of what you have in the List. That has always felt fiddly to me, especially considering how important Lists are.

The Adventure Crafter addressed this with a new way to do Lists, and I'm happy with that. TAC way of doing Lists will make its way into Mythic Second Edition, with a few twists. There will be at least two formats for doing Lists in Mythic 2e, each offering a little different handling of your Adventure.

Attached here is the current version of what I'm calling Staggered Lists. This is really a refinement of the standard Mythic List method, trying to make it more elegant.

The Lists are filled out in the same way as normal, with the exception that Lists will now be weighted just as they are in The Adventure Crafter (List elements can appear up to 3 times on a List). When rolling on a Staggered List, you roll the die that corresponds to the number of elements on the List. So, if you have 4 or less items you roll 1d4, 6 or less you roll 1d6, etc. Rolling an empty or crossed out line means Choose Most Logical Thread/Character.
