Japan Expo 2024 !

Hello !

Another year, another edition of the Japan Expo !

This year, we had the luck to get the biggest booth of our group history. We were located very close to the concert scene, which concentrate a huge amount of people around us. I never seen that much people in a JPX before, but it's probably also due to the Paris Olympics coming soon.

Anyway... I had one of the best time of my life in these 5 days ! At day 0, the setup day, I gather with Odd and the friends to build up the booth, take as much carpet as we could to make a scene to welcome our public, and make sure there will be enough room in the backstage to welcome all of our gang comfortably.

Then.. the next 4 days have been both extremly busy and still terribly short, as if the time itself decided to accelerate..

We were between 12 to 19 kigu during the event, and we even welcomed 2 new kigs ! France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and even Viet Nam were represented !

We have done a lot of different activities... Visiting our favorite artist and get portrayed once more, visiting the booth dedicated to the game of Go, visiting our friends from the Tomcat's Baseball Club, taking picture in the many scene available for cosplayers or simply hanging around, hand-in-hand with Odd in the numerous stores present there...

I've seen a lot of cool cosplay, but my favorite one for this year was the two Helldivers we've met. For the Managed Democracy !

The last day of the convention was the 14th July, which is also the France National Holiday, so I had to bring a flag to celebrate such an event with all the kig ! Eventually, the official mascot of the Japan Expo paid us a little visit, yup, that big green dragon on the first pic !

All the good thing have to end at some moment... It was not possible to hold my tears when I had to say goodbye to all my friends, we shared a last meal in the very same Burger King we've been in 2023, sharing again a last moment that will be marked forever in our memories...
