Channel Update #32 (Jan?) – New Year and new video

Hello,

I hope everyone’s doing well and had an enjoyable holiday.

There is a new video on the second channel (linked above?). I chose the topic because it felt like a good continuation from the last video and I thought I’d be able to make something quickly, but the subject turned out to have more depth than I realized. So I spent a lot longer researching and making the video than I anticipated although I think it turned out alright. If I were to remake it I’d definitely try to keep things shorter, particularly in the middle section, because I didn’t want to make a video that relied on the audience being interested in the subject, but it’s easy to think things like that with the benefit of hindsight. In some ways covering non gaming topics is still new to me and there are positives to trying out different things and comparing different approaches.

As for future plans, I’m not too sure what I’m doing but I’ll be doing something and I’ll keep people informed via patreon at least. Also I’m not sure when the next main channel video will be yet but I doubt it will be that long really. At the very least I’m sure I’ll be back for Starfield, FF16, Baldur’s Gate 3 etc.

Lastly, the response to the Gothic video has been very kind. I’m not too sure what else to say than that but I am lucky to have such a supportive audience. Anyway that’s all I’ll say for now but monthly updates should continue as normal and I’m feeling optimistic about the future.
