Cosplay talk
Added 2020-08-14 21:50:29 +0000 UTCIt's strange. We feel bad when we write that the cosplays are made by us. Because for some reason it seems like taboo in the cosplay community to make things on our own. People that makes cosplays are not flexing their skills, they are not better cosplayers than other cosplayers. At least we don't think we are better, on the contrary we are more the type to think we're not good. In the end, it's just fun for us to create things and to experiment. Unfortunately, it's been hard on us sometimes to read some comments on social media. We are not trying to make people jealous of us. We are not arrogantly showing off. We are not better than anyone.
As weird as it sounds, we just enjoy the pain of spending hours on little pieces of costumes and say at the end: I can't believe I made this. For a feeling of self-esteem. It's almost like playing Dark Souls.
At the end of the day, on social media, no one cares if we made it or not, we don't get attention for making things, quite the opposite! It's better when we don't mention it. So there are no reasons in the world for others to make us feel bad about it or to be jealous of us.
And then there is you, our special community. Thank you for believing in us so much and making us feel appreciated! You're all angels. Most of you became our really good friends. And we love you so much. Don't be shy to write to us anywhere. And for those are just lurking it's fine too. But know that if you come out of your hiding, we will definitely end up friends too because we are very friendly in the first place and very supportive.
Write down something about it with us if you want, we will reply 💙

That's why I got into cosplay in the first place because I liked seeing people create cosplays and that's why I joined your guy's patreon too! Seeing the progress and effort you guys put in creating the cosplays was so intriguing I had to see more on your patreon!

We think it's because people feel bad for not creating things on their own because they might have received negative messages in the past about it somehow. In any case no one deserves to feel bad about anything they are doing no matter the method in cosplay. We felt like opening up to you, and express how we feel about sharing our work and it really does feel this way!

I honestly have so much respect for all the hard work you put into your cosplay, it's not only about the crafting, your makeup skills and photo skills, everything is hard work for you and it comes from true passion! Like you said, making or buying cosplay doesn't make anyone a better cosplayer, everyone has a different reality! These posts gets attention and then people get that mentality in and it restrains a little our happiness of sharing things. We personally don't mind if cosplayers make things or not. It doesn't make cosplayers less great. We would love to cosplay with others no whatever how they cosplay. What matters really is positivity, good attitude, open-minded, loving, generosity, good sport, and simply respectful 💙

We would be able to make more skits, more costumes and faster, more streams, more entertainment and go to more conventions to meet everyone. That would be a good life! But since we are not business-minded type of people, we don't like to sell ourselves either so it won't happen!

Jealous people like to bring people down so they can satisfy their anger and jealous issues of life. Keep doing what you love and showing it to the world. It's mostly topics that people shares and goes around that makes us feel bad about it that gives us the feeling. Just that bragging isn't quite the trait of personality we have at all and making things is just a form of expression. 💙 Thank you for your support, your video of earlier was very touching.
