Bristol - the British Toronto!
Added 2019-03-08 20:01:07 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed my short time in Bristol, but for some reason it felt very much like Toronto. Obviously Bristol has much more historic architecture and history, but it felt a lot like T.O. - bit trendy in places, bit modern in others. It's hard to explain!

I did go to docks museum in 1999 and got some very stern looks. They had lots of exhibits about their involvement in international trade over 500 years. The stern looks came when I mentioned that mainly it was the slave triangle that built Bristol's wealth. They didn't want to know. I noticed when I went with work a couple of years ago that they seem to be a bit more upfront about it.
