Progress Report #2 + Pre-beta Sandbox Announcement

Hey hey hey HEY HEY WAIT HOLD ON SLOW DOWN
Before the progress report, I'd like to announce that I'll be releasing a pre-beta sandbox of sorts for $5+ patrons sometime next month as soon as Patreon gives me access to the pay-up-front option for new pledges. This playable build won't have much in terms of story or the final game, but instead focus on getting feedback for controls, movement, and controller/computer compatibility, with a couple enemies and a few basic puzzles. This is separate from the beta, which will be later in the Spring.
IN ANY EVENT!!!!!! Most of the work I did these last two weeks has been mostly back-end editor stuff. Not particularly exciting now, but it'll help me build stages a lot faster than having to manually type in coordinates like i was doing before.
Gameplay
- Implemented things that can launch you to different paths
- Implemented switches, as well as things that only activate if specific switches are functional
- Switches have "timed" and "toggle" settings
- Horizontal mag jump now functions closer to a traditional walljump, sending you a bit higher than before
Polish
- Hey how about indoor environments
- Items and enemies can spawn in the background/foreground fall/fly into the play area automatically.
Fixes and Misc
- Puro no longer lags behind when clinging to magnetic surfaces/standing on moving platforms
- Fixed path meshes occassionally collapsing on themselves (curve issue)
Back-End
- Bunch of path/curve editor changes that aren't exciting but make a editing levels a bit easier for me thanks
- Objects bound to a path now adapt to be at roughly the same position when the path is edited to the left instead of moving and wapring with it
- Added handles for the mesh path, including toggle for stretching and removing/adding new keys
- Meshes can now be toggled to be a fixed multiple of the based mesh or stretch all the way
- Fixed bug that caused said editor handles to flip out when going around corners
- The editor that allows movement specifically along paths can now easily be applied to any object with a single function call.
Currently Testing
- Began workin on a BIG OL PUZZLE
- Enemies (still). Gonna be working on one that's more or less a floating item dispensary. YOU'LL SEE
