Easy Chapter 783 Sasuke Becomes The Very Thing He Despised

Noticing where Naruto's gaze had drifted, Hinata's ears suddenly turned bright red. As if thinking of something, she slightly turned her face away, not daring to look at Naruto anymore.
Naruto glanced briefly, then forcibly averted his eyes.
‘I almost forgot about Hinata's inherent lethality. Now isn't the time. I need to safely navigate through the trap Kabuto has set first.’
Since he’s filled with pent-up frustration, he’ll save it all to take out on Kabuto!
‘Damn it, it's all that bastard Kabuto's fault!’
‘That bastard was literally making a mountain out of a molehill. To get revenge on me, he had teamed up with Black Zetsu, taking it slow and steady like he was hunting prey.’
‘He was probably feeling pretty smug right now, with me in the open and himself hidden in the shadows. He could still do plenty, shaking the entire Shinobi World with just a flick of his hand.’
Thinking this, Naruto's gaze turned fierce as he turned away.
…
Sasuke swung his blade, cutting down a Jonin. Blood splattered across the snow, sending up a cloud of steam. His crimson Mangekyo Sharingan fixed on the dozen or so Kumogakure’s Shinobi, finally revealing the Uchiha's fierce and arrogant nature.
The snow was heavy, the cold wind rustling.
"Come on, then! You'll all die!"
For some reason, a sense of exhilaration surged through Sasuke. After living over a decade shrouded in lies, every day filled with enduring, he'd had enough.
After all his investigations, this rotten world, rotten land, rotten people… it would be better to destroy it all.
Shinobi gained power only to fight for authority, establishing clans but neglecting their duties, forcing them to collude with nobles. Two colossal entities crushing each other, leaving the people in misery.
He never wanted to see the faces of the Five Great Shinobi Villages again, nor the nobles. Sasuke had only one thought in mind: shatter this world and reshape a new one.
"Damn it, everyone, together! Take him down!" A Kumogakure’s Jonin shouted, making the first move.
Dazzling lightning flickered around the Kumogakure’s Jonin.
Boom, boom, boom!
It was impossible to track his movements with the naked eye. Almost as soon as a sound echoed, he had already shifted positions, closing in on Sasuke with a serpentine trajectory.
This was the Kumogakure’s unique Lightning Release Nintaijutsu, compressing Chakra within the body to unleash limitless potential.
The Jonin moved, and everyone followed. Explosions rang out one after another. The air twisted and distorted from the electric light, making the dozen or so figures seem like flickering ghosts.
Sasuke simply drew his sword again, cutting them all down.
Ten minutes later, the scene was in disarray, littered with severed limbs and scattered remains. Sasuke was splattered with blood, but it seemed to have calmed him down.
Without even looking, he blindly sheathed his sword at his lower back, and the sword slid smoothly into its scabbard.
"Let's go. The reinforcements from Kumogakure will be here soon. Time to hunt the next group." Sasuke strode forward slowly, with Karin following closely behind.
Kumogakure had indeed repelled the five thousand White Zetsu that had infiltrated the village, but they couldn't stop Sasuke and his team. Team Taka had split up… Sasuke with Karin, and Suigetsu with Jugo.
They were mimicking the Akatsuki's two-person cell format. While their destructive power was limited, their flexibility made up for it. Both Karin and Jugo had their own methods of sensing Chakra, giving them counter-reconnaissance abilities far beyond the Kumogakure’s.
It was early winter now. Kumogakure wanted to deploy troops to form a Shinobi Alliance with the other four great nations, but they also had to guard against another White Zetsu resurgence.
Even though the Yondaime Raikage was exceptionally bold, he still couldn't handle Team Taka’s bone-picking tactics. In just a few days, they had already taken out seven or eight of the Kumogakure’s outposts.
Team Taka’s operational style carried Sasuke's distinct coldness, almost like holding a blade to the Raikage's neck, as if saying, "If you dare deploy troops, I'll sneak into the village at night and cut you down when defenses are weak."
Karin was the one who witnessed to Sasuke's change the closest, ‘It seemed that after the Land of Fire’s Daimyo incident was pinned on him, Sasuke had changed.’
‘He was becoming more... unscrupulous?’
‘His actions were unrestrained...’
Karin didn't know how to describe it, only feeling that Sasuke seemed to be becoming more and more like someone… someone utterly shameless. It was as if he had been pushed to the brink, forced into becoming what he once despised.
Others might not understand, but Karin, who stayed by Sasuke's side every day, knew that since Itachi’s death, Sasuke's state had been off.
If the previous Sasuke was like a block of ice, a high-pressure bomb, then after that, he was like punching cotton… he became somewhat timid and hesitant.
Itachi’s death was related to Danzo, so Danzo died. After narrowly surviving to exact revenge, Sasuke should have returned to normal, but Karin noticed his condition was only worsening.
Confusion, lack of direction, unwillingness to engage, controlled by emotions.
For a long time, all three members of Team Taka could clearly feel that Sasuke had lost his leadership edge, like a self-exiling madman.
Until he was framed repeatedly by that person, causing trouble everywhere under Sasuke's name, pushing Sasuke to the limit until he rarely flew into a rage and lost composure. It was from that moment that Sasuke seemed to change.
…
"Uchiha Sasuke!" The Yondaime Raikage stood up in a rage, about to smash the table.
"Raikage-sama, this is the last table." Mabui reminded coolly.
"Ahhh!!!" The Raikage, with nowhere to vent his fury, roared at the sky, eyes red, "That vile Uchiha! Hiding around like a bug!"
"It seems we weren't wrong about him from the start! From beginning to end, it was all Uchiha Sasuke's self-orchestrated drama. These unscrupulous tactics are all too familiar!"
Mabui, standing nearby, remained noncommittal, unsure what to say.
She knew that initially, the attacks on Kumogakure hadn't been carried out by Sasuke. But now... well, she's already a traitor. No point worrying about it anymore.
But strangely enough, right after defecting and submitting to that shameless blonde, she could hardly sleep at all. Waves of shame and guilt washed over her, but eventually... she grew accustomed to it.
Probably because that guy preferred a hands-off approach. He had taken them in, made them sign contracts pledging their lives, but rarely actually gave them orders.
She had initially thought he would target Kumogakure, as that was part of the original agreement, but later, it seemed he had forgotten all about it. The blonde only said to ‘wait for the right timing’, and it had been delayed until now.
If it weren't for the contract binding her, Mabui might have almost forgotten she served another master. Occasionally, when she remembered and realized how deeply the three of them had infiltrated Kumogakure’s leadership, she would break out in a cold sweat.
"Where's Samui? Has there been any news from her team hunting those insects?" Yondaime Raikage's voice pulled Mabui back to reality, and she straightened her posture.
"She should still be on the move. A report came in half a day ago… the outpost in the southwest was attacked." Mabui reported calmly, though her thoughts began to drift again.
Among the three of them, Yugito was firmly committed to that guy and had already offered her pledge of loyalty. Samui, with her cold demeanor, hadn't made any pledge nor shown any clear stance.
It seemed like it didn't affect her much, whereas Mabui herself often felt restless.
