There's another layer to this but that would mean spoilers so I won't get into that, just keep going. Anyway, this monstrosity is the result of the fact he consumed the content of the syringe through mouth rather than doing it the traditional way. I believe this is something that the show doesn't explain explicitly. By the way, he's indeed a dumb titan. Would have to eat Eren or any other intelligent one to become human again. Edit: regarding the post ep discussion - while it's generally subjective I wholeheartedly agree season 1 is the weakest of em all. While still solid this is a rare example of a show where the further you go the better it gets. I usually avoid hyping things up but season 4 is absolutely incredible and I can't wait for you to get there. Also yeah, you guys are right about the last point in the video, I'm surprised you got that right so early, with one correction - passing the power to someone else equals killing the previous host. You can't have them both alive.
