I’ve always loved this car since my teenage years, back when it dominated the rally scene. Above all, it’s a true work of art—one of the most beautiful cars on Earth, in my opinion.
As for performance, I built a lightweight version with grippy soft tires. Top speed is decent, and while acceleration is just okay with only 270 HP, the real strength lies in carrying speed through corners—thanks to its exceptional grip.
Don’t be afraid to drive it aggressively. The balance is neutral, and the car remains incredibly steady under pressure. You can expect lap times around 7:07 on the Nordschleife (in my hands)—and it delivers a fantastic driving experience.
It truly drives like a proper MR car, reminding me of the legendary Lotus Elise from earlier Gran Turismo games.
Enjoy your drive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°°°
Testing this one right after the Dino was a bit of a shock to the system. Both MR cars, but the Stratos behaves quite differently. Even though it is substantially lighter than the Dino, it handles curb interaction much better. You still can't clobber them, but it will not punish you as severely for touching. The Stratos had more front end grip and didn't tend to want to oversteer even on throttle at corner exit. Don't get me wrong, it still retains some that MR twitch, but less than the Dino. I definitely felt more confident with this car and tune and it showed. Second fastest 600PP lap round the Ring for me 7:21.8. Given that I tend to struggle with MR layouts, I was pleasantly surprised when I hit the start finish.

Thank you Maestro! This tune always got me crazy so damn hard to set… With your touch perfect balance of handling and control. Nice work

Outstanding tune. You cured all its bad habits. It’s great for the Historic Races when tuned to 580pp. Thanks.

Yes, It Can Work Normally.
If you can achieve the correct weight and front/rear weight balance, it’s fine. However, sometimes the PP numbers may not match due to minor PP bugs.

Hey Praiano, the Stratos I have in my collection already has Weight Reductions 1-3 off it. If I increase the Ballast by the appropriate amount and adjust the Ballast Positioning to 39:61, will this work? Or do I have to replace the body or buy a new car and start again?

Not so good , just regular. Would need some more top speed.

Is this still any good for Tokyo rain? I tried this tune on it but it lags behind lol

That's an excellent idea

To be fast with this car, you need to focus on flowing through corners. The acceleration isn’t its strongest point, so if you slow down too much, it will take time to recover the lost speed. When you nail the way to lead this marvel , it's really rewarding.

Fantastic! Thanks. Unfortunately, on my first fun I was considerably slower, but that’s on me, not the tune!
The car is very satisfying to pilot. Very nearly as good as the 930 IMO.

Thanks, Praiano!
That makes sense—glad to know the track names are already searchable! I’ll be sure to use the search bar more creatively for setups like Nordschleife and Spa. But it’s great to hear you’ll look into the filter idea with your son too.
Appreciate all the amazing work you and your family put into this—always keeps the races exciting! ><(((((((°>°°°°°°

I’ll check with my son about adding a track option, but it’s already easy to find setups for specific tracks. When I recommend a car for a certain track, I always include the track name in the title, description, or use TAGs for that track.
If you type the name of the track—like 'Nordschleife,' 'SPA,' or 'Le Mans'—in the search window, only the setups mentioning that track in the title or text should appear.

Hey Praiano!
The Stratos setup is absolutely beautiful—much like the car itself. 💥 That 7:12 time on Nordschleife sounds like a blast! I can’t wait to try it out there, and maybe even push it on a few other tracks. 😉
Speaking of which, I had a thought: What do you think about adding a track filter to the new search tool? It would be so handy for finding the best setups for specific tracks, like Nordschleife, Le Mans, or Spa, for when we want to unleash your tunes on different circuits. After all, each setup really shines in its own way depending on where it’s driven!
Thanks for always making our drives faster, more fun, and super smooth! ><(((((((°>°°°°°°
