This car always surprises me in the best way. Back in the early 80s, when I was a windsurfer, this was my dream car—perfect for loading my windsurf gear and crashing on the beach after a night out. But it was out of my budget, so I settled for a cheaper Opel Rekord 2.0 wagon, which was also a great car.
In the game, after maxing out all the parts, this car drives like a Supercar MR with excellent mid-engine handling characteristics. It’s very fun to drive and performs impressively on the Nordschleife. Just be cautious of wheel spin out of slow corners when the power kicks in at high RPM.
It’s almost worthy of a 5-star rating, but I’ll give it a solid 4 stars +++.

2024-10-03 03:01:04 +0000 UTCI grew up in SoCal in a beach town and Volvo’s were popular surfer cars. They were very common as “mom” cars and often leased new, so many good examples became available in the used car market. I really miss wagons, especially fast ones.
