Wraptor
Added 2020-04-10 20:25:35 +0000 UTCI apologize for the horrid pun name, but I swear it came after the initial sketch! I wanted another villain for the Guardians of the Cosmos thing, and went with a mummy themed character. I didn't want a ton of Egyptian imagery in him, though, and I wanted a species that would be 'fake' in the world of Sunshine. Since only real world mammals are 'people' in that world, avian creatures and reptiles were fair game. Initially I thought just a 'lizard' because dragons already have representation (and I didn't want another winged creature), but then quickly shifted over to a dinosaur.
Terrible pun name aside (which I'm honestly pleased with), I really like this guy's design. The open chest, the glowing heart, the swords going through him (I imagine in action figure form, the swords would be removable), and the weirdness of it being a raptor skeleton as opposed to something expected, like a jackal or cat. More than most of the villains, I have a story in my head for who this guy is.
