On one hand, this puts the "transforming villain" trope back into action. But could it be that this character-motivated transformation gives us a better story than Freeza and Cell?

Not a spoiler at all. I only have a first draft script right now, but it does not look as though it will be as long as The Freeza Arc. Perhaps two videos.

I wonder if Goten witnessing Chi Chi’s death would have been a good time for him to only then become SSJ for the first time - although that may well have been curtains for the Earth if he or Buu attacked the other… Cannot wait for the next DBD TV!! Looking forward to your take on the imperfect Cell airport scene with Krillin, and the pre-Cell Games filler episodes (especially the cameos of Tao Pai Pai!) 😁
