2023-08-27 21:25:55 +0000 UTCI understand the time limit but maybe if they are longer movies you can split them into two parts and release separately because that takes a lot of really great movies off the table that I know J would enjoy. But keeping with the time frame I'm asking you to check out "the double" it stars jessi eisenberg and written and directed by Richard Ayoade. It's a great quirky under rated movie. But I think J would enjoy it a lot.

JL clarified the parameters clearly in the comments and we are still encouraged to stay within the original parameters. With that being said, your original list is very much still valid. As is Frost’s work on organizing a poll. Just from one human to another, try not to let a complete stranger affect you so much. They dont know you.

Then that leeway does not actually seem to be taken into consideration. Additionally, you have people who will literally go against their own complaint in blatant hypocrisy. Say Horror/Thriller, Action/SciFi, Drama/Romance, Comedy/Animation and an Other category. Then we could all vote for our favourite in each and the top one in each would be our poll. Think this would also make it varied enough for most tastes?

I just made a poll on the list that I thought had everyone's movies that were good on the time & could be voted on for the top 15. then another one where everyone can vote on those 15 to give the top 5. just trying to be as fair as i could think of and to get the ball rolling at the same time. instead of chasing our tails endlessly. /shrug i don't know what else to do or suggest.

The reason he even said that is because of Secondhand Lion bc it’s a little longer but he absolutely loves that movie and he would be willing to do it for that. That and Steel magnolias is the only two he’s said that for out of all the movies y’all listed over the 1:45 mark.

Since the parameters changed. Any length. Just 2. From there, we create polls in sequence where we systematically eliminate films from voting polls until we have maybe 10 for the final vote? Would that be more fair? I would be glad to help in any way.

How could we ever expect to know what exactly Blank thinks is good? We all think the movies that we posted are good! Some of us were just more willing to follow the original directions. I appreciate the help from Blank and J to make it easier, but at the end of the day, we have to have parameters to work with or it is a free for all. A lot of the films on his list were also in the chats and your own original list that was inclusive of what the chats wanted. Not all 5 of what I wanted made this list and I AM OK with that. I looked at the list and it seems to be a good representation of the chats. We are only human and can only do our best. We are never going to make everyone happy. It is impossible. Lets just make it work and show J and Blank we are capable of creating a movie poll. Not perfect but just doing our best to make it work.

2023-08-26 14:42:35 +0000 UTCI just took the first list i found, and there are over 100 films, at some point, you have to just say WHOA, or it will never get there, I put the pole up early this morning. and if they are Good is subjective. if a person is posting a film they already think is a good film, I just put that entire list up and people can pick their top 15, The 15 with the most picks will be at the top when the poll times out on 8/31 - 5 days if people want to vote. i did what i could while i had a moment where i had the time to try to put one up that would be as fair to everyone as i could think of.

( my first time setting one of these up so be gentle] Ok while i don't have time with work to take over 100% [i could never have combed through all the comments and made the list Garrett made] I can help maybe. what i did was create a Ranking poll using Garrets's list there are over 100 films on the list. You Drag and drop your top 15 films in order to the top of the poll. [as of 8/26 at 6 AM.] the poll will time out on 8/31 it's going to take a little work on your part to vote, the poll won't let you drag and scroll at the same time. If your film shows up at say 50 you have to click it and drag it up to the top of what is visible on your screen say 38, release it, and scroll until you get the film to the bottom of the screen click your film and drag it to the top, and repeat. I recommend dragging your 15 films to the top first then order them. this way everyone's film has a chance to get voted on by everyone, at the end of the poll the top 15 films can go into another poll. He's going to hit something good many times and I'm satisfied with what's here. Now and then I throw out something I see that really stays with me (that's happened a few times of late) and I just think how fun it would be to see his take on something. I don't make demands and I don't have people other than the Patreon reactors to sit and watch movies with so that's why I'm here. I just hope everyone else who comes here appreciates how above and beyond J and his creative team are going to try to give everyone the experience they want to have on this platform. They don't have to be doing it. Work together and don't make it just about one or two people. Thanks

I've seen 1-2 reactions at most. It's my favorite film and I think J would love it. Also, I know it wouldn't get done but could you please consider the Irishman in the future.
