Yes I came here to ask this, thank you! And - might not be super relevant to Meg/Meg's mum - but I've been wondering how I might avoid upsetting my mum/hurting her feelings when talking through this stuff.

PRODUCTION NOTE I think Lewis should host the questions and Meg and her mum can answer. Perhaps Meg and Lewis share a mic, unless it would be easier for Meg's mum if Meg held the mic for her (but then would Meg have too much power and censor her mum, how can we know the truth, let the woman speak πŸ˜‚). I'm not micro managing from afar πŸŽ€πŸ˜…. Feel free to ignore.

Was it hard to accept Meg’s diagnosis initially? How has your perception of autism changed since then? What advice would you give to parents with autistic kids?

Kayla

Did people comment on your parenting abilities given that Meg wasn't a neurotypical child and had different mannerisms? (My mum often got criticised for her parenting and called out, because I was "misbehaving" as a kid and "didn't respect authorities", even though she was just trying to do her best to help me [I got diagnosed in adulthood, we had no idea when I was younger], so I was wondering if other parents had a similar experience.)

Hi Megs mum! What do you think Megs earliest hyper fixation was?

justarandomsapphic

I don't really have a question, I just want to say hi to Meg's mum. Hi Meg's mum! You've raised a kind, intelligent daughter with a hilarious sense of humor. She has told us often that she appreciates how supportive you've been throughout her life. And now look at her, putting herself out here to help us. You should be very proud! 😊

any advice on educating your parents on autism? i am lower support needs/high masking and i have been my whole life. my mom is loving and supportive, but i don’t think she fully understands how my autism impacts me because she has always seen me as neurotypical. i’ve been wanting to show her some of your videos and i definitely will soon, but any other advice from you and your mom would be greatly appreciated! thank you! πŸ’“

emily!

(For mom😁) What was your understanding/idea of autism before Megs diagnosis?

Cific

This is a deliberately silly question so feel free not to include it (and please don't take offence as I love Lewis, I'd feel so bad). As a mother-in-law is there anything you don't like (... or like) about the questionable (or honourable...) Lewis 🧐? Like the hastily signed marriage documents, encouraging your daughter to drink fizzy milk, that questionable file photo - give us the dirt, spill the baked beans (boil those muffins!?) 🀣. Also as a non-bias third party, is Lewis... allistic or autistic?

Glen Rose

I don't know why but I am so looking forward to this episode.

What are some of your favourite movies/TV shows with actual or coded neurodivergent characters that you like most (no judgements here)? Also what neurodivergent traits of Meg do you relate to yourself OR Meg has noticed about you? Have you ever helped Meg with creating any video/media creations past or present (for instance as an extra, holding props/pressing record, voice overs etc, I know I did of my parents 🀣)?

Glen Rose

Do you have tips for raising a PDA child (I have 2 πŸ˜…πŸ₯°)? How did your parenting style evolve over the years of raising the Meg'an? Optionally did you receive any bad professional parenting advice? PS you've done a wonderful job regardless of any tough parenting times πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
