Tremors (1990) | Full Length Reaction & Watch-along!

Comments

One of my favorite movies. I would say the second is worth a watch, but not so much for the ones that follow

King

LOL

The sequels are not as great, more “made for tv” quality in production and writing. It IS kinda fun to see the different varieties and literal evolution of the creatures in the sequels, tho.

Rodolfo Morales

My favorite line :” I FOUND THE A**-END!” 😂

Cute top! Matches the room. The fact that there are 7 Tremors movies and you've never heard of any of them should tell you that that's not a rabbit hole you want to fall down!

Mastervodo

The movie takes place in “Perfection, Nevada”

A 1.5 hour pilot episode for a new Tremors TV series was produced in 2018 with Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward but it was never relased as the network cancelled it. Kevin Bacon said he thought it was good and that everyone had done a good job.

Hurrakan

So there are actually 9 Tremors projects. The 7 films with a couple of the OG cast returning; Earl (Fred Ward) in Tremors 2 and Bert (Michael Gross) in 3-7, a TV series, and one reboot in 2018 returning both Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward redoing their roles as Val and Earl. Tremors 2 is going to surprise the hell out of you, lol. I have been dreaming of a time where you get to watch all the campy films you could ever want, V. lol. The best of the best of the garbage heap of films, lol. Why does a film have to be good in order to be appreciated? It doesn't, its just fun. Film makers and performers like to have fun within their own mediums. What's wrong with that? If jazz is music for musicians, then campy films are the playground for actors and directors, lol. Tremors is definitely on that list. The remaining films are campy x2-x10, lol. There are practical effects still in the sequels but there is also CGI. Kevin Bacon showing up a lot? Does that mean a certain GoG Christmas Special is coming? ;D There is a fault line in the Midwest. V. I've felt the aftershocks. Quakes happen in Kansas/Oklahoma, mostly, but the aftershock waves can be felt 2-3 states away, too. Reba is like Dolly Parton, multi-talented; musician and actor. Probably don't recall, V, but the general store owner is also Egg-Shen from Big Trouble in Little China, lol. I knew you'd love campy b-films. Gotta get some more campy films in the rotation, lol Flash Gordan 1980 Cry Baby 1990 Maximum Overdrive 1986 Gremlins 2 1990 Psycho Beach Party 2000 Little Shop of Horrors 1986 Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead 1991 Better Off Dead 1985 Twilight Zone: The Movie 1983 Heavy Metal 1981 Waxworks 1988 The Blob 1988 The Burbs 1989 Maverick 1994 Oscar 1991 Empire Records 1995 Labyrinth 1986 Conan The Destroyer 1984 (after you watch Conan the Barbarian 1982) Camp Nowhere 1994 Eurotrip (Unrated) 2004 Judge Dredd 1995 The Adventures of Ford Fairlane 1990 The Adventures of Baron Munchausen 1989 Hudson Hawk 1991 Stay Tuned 1992 Dick Tracy 1990 PCU 1994 City Slickers (1991) Vibes (1988) Waking Ned Devine (1998) The Frighteners (1996) Three Amigos - 1986 Mystery Men (1999) Shanghai Noon 2000 Mr. Mom 1983 Innerspace 1987 Weird Science 1985 The People Under the Stairs 1991 Elvira: Mistress of the Dark 1988 The Package (2018) High Spirits 1988 The Rock 1996 Con Air 1997 Broken Arrow 1996 Me3gan 2.0 2025 Blades of Glory 2007 Eurovision Song Contest; The Story of Fire Saga 2020 Clueless 1995 Doom (unrated) -2005 The Last Starfighter 1984 Porky's (1981) Tank Girl (1995) Total Recall (1990) Brainscan (1994) House 1985 Dark City 1998 Short Circuit (1986) Shaolin Soccer 2001 Kung Fu Hustle 2004 The Ice Pirates (1984) Krull (1983) Lost in Space (1998) Moonfall (2022) Feast 2005 Blades of Glory 2007 UHF 1989 Multiplicity 1996 Joe Vs the Volcano 1990 Dragonheart 1996 Nothing But Trouble 1991 Weekend at Bernie's 1989 Johnny Dangerously (1984) Club Dread 2004 Beerfest (unrated) 2006 Grandma's Boy (unrated) 2006 Stripes (extended cut) 1981 The House Bunny 2008 Bio-Dome 1996 Van Helsing 2004 History of the World Part 1 1981 Hellboy 2004 13th Warrior 1999 Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog (2008) Sharknado 2013

OMG!!! I had so much fun watching your reaction to this movie V! You really cracked me up with laughter during so many scenes, this was great🤣🤣🤣 First and foremost let me just say, my goodness V, you look very lovely as always, I really liked the pink, okay glad I got that off my chest lol😇🙏 It really warms my heart that you enjoyd this movie, it's one of my all time favorites growing up as a kid, my father first showed it to me when I was like 11 or 12 years old! I admit, when I first saw it, I was scared to walk on the ground for almost a week lol! But the some of the humor in this movie really helps lower the scare factor lol! Yes, there are 7 movies in total (including this one) in this franchise! It has a strong fan base! Personally, yes, they are all worth watching because they're fun and we get a deeper dive into the evolution of the Graboid (worm) don't worry, no spoilers lol! Though in my opinion, the 4th installment is the weakest link, but it has it's moments lol! What I love most about this film, well putting it simply, it's a monster flick! I've grown up all my life watching monster flicks like Godzilla and King Kong! I just think this film has a very unique concept in terms of these giant worms and what they do and the multiple possibilities on where they come from! Plus I love the practical effects as well! I'm sure someone has already said this, but the design of the worms are heavily inspired by the worms in "Dune" Small piece of trivia for you, the inspiration of this movie came from one of it's producers who ventured out in the desert that was part of a military training base where they practice shooting the big guns! One day when they werent' shooting, one of the producers of this movie went out and sat on one of the big boulders that were out there and he sat there and thought to himself, "What if I couldn't get off this rock? What if there was something under the ground that has traped me up here?" Hense the concept for TREMORS was born! One of it's original titles was "Land Sharks" which sounded really ridiculous lol! As for Reba, this was her first major film debut into acting! Anyway, I'm so glad and happy you enjoyed this film V, I definitely say give the sequels a shot, they are worth watching, but they're no where near as good as the first one! This was fun, love and support 🥰😇🤗✌🌹

I love the tremors franchise, they are not what you would call "good" movies, but they are fun movies.

Flares (37mm launched) are not considered a "destructive device". Grenades however, are destructive devices and thus unlawful under 26 U.S. Code § 5845. So yes, you can have flares, but not grenades.
