And for good reason 😭 I was hesitant going in due to the subject matter - Mafia, etc because I don't TYPICALLY go for these types of films but man... do you guys spoil me LMAO it was so artistically done and the quality was insane. The characters arcs, moving parts and plot move so seamlessly going through the entire film felt like butter to me. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET TO THE SECOND PART 🥰💖

It’s very well made & tells the really interesting story of how nuts the making of this movie was.

Insecurities and ego, plus our capitalist society, compel people to think they must gauge their value against others. I don't. I am skilled, trained, practiced, and educated. Anyone is capable of everything I have learned. Just because others are not interested doesn't make me or them better or lesser. After all, my profession is caregiver. I literally take care of people that people want to forget even exist in our society. And i find them to be some of the funniest, cleverest, and care free people ive ever known. They care nothing of better or worse. I learn and i educate. You have every choice to listen or not. If you come at me, then I will use all my skills to return the favor. It's that simple. If you are upset that I'm more skilled or knowledgeable, then I recommend you 'git gud' lol, I do enjoy a good challenge of wit 😉 so many attacks from people on a post where I didn't even say the film was bad, lmao

While the scene was being recorded, Coppola (the director) saw the cat running around the set. He picked it up fast and gave it to Marlo Brando, a cat lover 🐱🐱🐱. One of the most iconic scenes in cinema was improvised, and the key elements are the kitten and Marlon Brando's naturalness.

2024-08-17 22:31:46 +0000 UTCNot watching this. This a film student movie. I'm tired of the gushing hype. I've seen it. I wrote my papers on it. I got my grades for it. Its a histrionically important milestone film in cinema history. Many film styles and techniques come from this film. Every film student has to watch it. I've been done with this film a long time ago, though. I don't like films that romanticize mob, mafia, gang, thug, cartel lifestyles. Its just a bunch of fragile egos that think its okay to hurt and take advantage of others because their feelings are hurt or were embarrassed in front of people. Its childish behavior from a bunch of grown adults with too much money and real estate that are into causing violence and abuse to get "respect". Its a boring plot that has been too many times by a bunch wannabe worshipers. I do agree that everyone should see this film at least once so they get it and be done with it. But I've been done with the gangster life worship decades ago.
