Reservoir Dogs | Full Length Reaction!

Hi everyone!! So this has been a movie we've had on the polls for the longest time AND a film I've heard SO much about. People love it and I wanted to hear what the big deal was about! I love Tarantino movies so I was really excited to get into it, it was very different than the Taratino we're used to but the dialogue and storytelling was spot on AS USUAL so of course it was going to be a good time hehe

I hope you guys enjoy!! Let me know what you guys think of this classic film and your own experiences with it! :)

Well if you want to watch the entire Tarantino filmography, and you should, since Tarantino is working on his last film. He said he wants to make 10 films and be done. KILL BILL 1 & 2 count as one film. Reservoir Dogs is my favorite movie of All-time. But you need to see also - Pulp Fiction - Jackie Brown - Kill Bill 1 + 2 - Death Proof - Inglorious Basterds - Django Unchained - Hateful Eight - Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. If you get a chance, Tarantino wrote the movie True Romance, which is excellent. He sold the script to get the ability to make and direct Reservoir Dogs. He did not direct it, but you can tell it's Tarantino's writing. It's so good.

I've got an unused digital copy if anybody needs it.

If you want more Steve Buscemi than you'll know what to do with (and if you haven't already seen it), the HBO series Boardwalk Empire has Steve in the lead role as the Treasurer for Atlantic County NJ, just as prohibition begins in 1920. He basically becomes a gangster and bootlegger immediately. The series gets arguably weaker in later seasons, but was still a very good show - and Steve Buscemi! Check it.

Nice to see Four Rooms get some love. Even the (imho) silly parts are entertaining, and overall I think it's a great film.

Guys, I'm messing around with Vee. My comment is the continuation of a joke that started on Twitch and in a post on BCS reaction. 😊 I would never talk to Vee like that if it weren't a joke. πŸ’–

This is a fun movie. It’d been ages since I watched it. Dialogue is the real key to separating Tarantino from his contemporaries. He’s wrong about Like a Virgin but deliberately so we know that guy is a douche. The two main influences he’s mashing up are the French New Wave films of the 1960s and the American crime novelist Elmore Leonard. Leonard wrote the novel that became Jackie Brown which stars Pam Grier who gets referenced in one of the driving scenes. A good comparison movie for Reservoir Dogs is Breathless. Which is a black and white French language movie from 1960 (so probably not reaction material) but it is still more radical and enjoyable than most movies and has similar minimalism and aesthetic and lots of jump-cuts and Jean Seberg. If you want more Steve Buscemi Fargo has probably one of his most iconic roles as well as being an awesomely great piece of cinema and he plays the lead in Death of Stalin, another great movie. Also he’s in Desperado. Desperado is directed by Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez is sort of the Texas Tarantino and they made a movie together called From Dusk Till Dawn which is the perfect blind reaction movie. The less you know the better but it’s very much your kind of thing.

Quentin's films all take place in the same universe, since his films usually have easter eggs of his previous films. It is unknown what happened to Mr. Pink but you do hear cars and gunfire outside after he left. One theory, and this comes from Steve Buscemi, is that the role he plays in Pulp Fiction (a waiter at a 50's themed restaurant) is Mr Pink, where he ended up doing the very job he despised tipping in the beginning of this film. How or why he got there we'll never know plus unknown what happened to the diamonds. Quentin likes open-ended movies and stories. Tim Roth, Mr Orange, is such a great actor. I've seen Four Rooms at least 2 dozen times. Another film Quentin was involved in. A darker spoof of The Bellhop. And the show Lie to Me. Tim is so good in that show.

Another film that's been on the polls for toooooooo long is CHILDREN OF MEN, please watch that

Pulp Fiction put Tarantino on the map but this one is what truly got him started. I guess it feels like a play with it mostly taking place on one set which is something he revisited on The Hateful Eight. I think when he originally conceived it he wanted to show the heist but didn't have the budget. What we got is arguably just as intense. This also started a long-standing relationship with many of his frequent actors. To this day it still showcases Q.T.'s best talents.

New patron here. Came in after watching Breaking Bad on Youtube and wanted to rewatch Better Call Saul and figured I'd sign up to watch your full length reactions to it... not disappointed at all. Reservoir Dogs is easily a top 5 movie for me and also probably my favorite reaction of yours. This was the first Tarantino movie I saw and immediately started watching all his other movies after.

OK! Now you're messing with me! I just logged onto Patreon to watch an episode of BCS, and AT THE SAME TIME, you posted Reservoir Dogs. Reservoir Dogs! Quentin Tarantino. My girl! What do I do? Tell me! If I won't be able to watch BCS, it's your fault! 🫡 Now, excuse me, I have to watch a certain reaction from a certain girl who likes to tease me. 😝

Did you know that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman is a reference to Mr White and Mr Pink, There's even a shot in Breaking Bad where Jesse has a gun to Walts head that mirrors a scene from Reservoir Dogs
