Here are some recommendations for you that I think won't get mentioned that often: - Black Rain (1989) - The Martian (2015) - Lucky Number Slevin (2006) - Interview with the Vampire (1994) - The last of the Mohicans (1992) - Chariots of Fire (1981) - Hero (2002) - Bullitt (1968) - Dead Poets Society (1989) - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) - The Blues Brothers (1980) - Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) - Lawrence of Arabia (1962) - Big (1988) - Dances with Wolves (1990) - Stardust (2007) - Philadelphia (1993) - 12 Angry Men (1957) - Braveheart (1995) - Gettysburg (1993) - Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) - The Name of the Rose (1986) - Master and Commander - The Far Side of the World (2007) - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) - The Untouchables (1987) - Once upon a time in the West (1968) - The Magnificent Seven (1960) -> not the remake, since it's π© - Good Will Hunting (1997) (to be continued)... ... and of course like every time Operation Petticoat (1959) as well as The Hobbit Trilogy because you liked the landscape, the characters and the ambience so much and I think you will have this again. No matter what everyone says, the films are better than 90% of all the other films.

2021-09-24 08:34:13 +0000 UTCYou should totally do some spooky scary movies for Halloween. Ever seen the old Evil Dead? It's freaking nuts.

2021-09-23 03:03:07 +0000 UTCDonnie Darko is one of those movies that makes for great conversations if you watch it with someone.
2021-09-22 14:04:17 +0000 UTCThe shorter version isn't "censored." That was the cut that was initially released in Europe, too. The extended version didn't come out until a couple of years later. I thought I remembered reading that Besson didn't have a preference, but now I can't find the interview, so I may have been wrong about that.

2021-09-22 01:20:20 +0000 UTCMy recommendations are; -True Romance (1993) directed by Tony Scott and written by Quentin Tarantino -The Frighteners (1996) -Tigers are not Afraid (2017) -RoboCop (1987) -Donnie Darko -Chungking Express (1994) one of Tarantino's favorite asian movies

2021-09-21 19:30:32 +0000 UTChope you would react to Goodfellas, Superman 78 and Leon the Profesional as well, those are very good movies
Checo Lara
2021-09-21 19:25:15 +0000 UTCpeople saying that you should watch the censored version of Leon are just prudes (American probably), you re a grown up and intelligent person, watch the European version (as some reactors already did on Youtube and it was fine) and you ll see by yourself :)

2021-09-21 18:09:05 +0000 UTCThere are some great movies in this poll. Suggesting one more: Say Anything A 1989 high school film with John Cusack, Ione Skye, and Lili Taylor

2021-09-20 16:59:41 +0000 UTCHeavenly Creatures is an underrated gem from Peter Jackson. Glad to see it on the list, although I canβt see it getting many votes :(

2021-09-20 00:44:54 +0000 UTCOh, I wanted to edit the post and not delete it. π― Well I think, Vicky will like The Breakfast Club (since it seems to win the poll). π

2021-09-19 22:45:41 +0000 UTCNobody GETS to watch Leon if they haven't seen the (ahem) '78 Superman first. You can watch The Last Dragon without having seen Enter the Dragon first, but this rule isn't as strict.

2021-09-19 21:57:30 +0000 UTCLeon? A decent enough film, but I think most of those that voted for that either want to see you cringe, cry or both

Thomas Williamson
2021-09-19 06:08:52 +0000 UTCNice eclectic list here! :) A couple of things - I'm probably in the minority, but if you watch "Leon: The Professional," I'd actually recommend the shorter theatrical cut (just called "The Professional" in the US). The extended version drags the pace down and things get weirder than they really should, and even the director has stated he doesn't have a preference between the two. I HATE to be "that guy," but "Superman" came out in 1978, not 1979. :) It's basically the prototype for the modern big-budget superhero movie, so it'd be fun to see your reaction!

2021-09-19 05:48:42 +0000 UTCDon't forget Prince of Darkness!
Sean Novack
2021-09-19 05:28:36 +0000 UTCAnd. The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension!

2021-09-19 05:24:13 +0000 UTCSome other John Carpenter films I'd suggest are, The Thing (good for next month) and They Live (one of the best knock down, drag out fist fights on film)

2021-09-19 03:44:29 +0000 UTCNice Guys is genuinely one of my favourite movies, even though I've seen it a couple times, after each time I'm sore from laughing. Hope it gets chosen if not this time but another!

2021-09-19 03:43:29 +0000 UTCHopefully "Prince of Egypt (1998)" is still a contender in the upcoming polls.

2021-09-19 03:35:16 +0000 UTCGoodfellas is by far the most "classic film" option on here. Iconic scenes, characters and lines. You can't go through life not having seen it π
