SAVANNA NEWS - Changing of plans

Hey everyone. Squealy here. It's been nearly a year since I've made an update post isn't it. I come to you all today with personally a difficult update to make, but also a necessary one.

Last November, I made an update post about making YCH animations a priority. That still is the case. However, you have all probably noticed that no YCH animation posts, be it teasers, progress or releases, have materialised in that time... Not only that but the wanting to stream the creation process of such still has not happened.

To put it bluntly as possible, priorities and other commitments, along with many ups and downs in the last year, have made it difficult to actually work on the YCH animations, let alone even begin. I have a very bad tendency to stack up too many things I need to do on my plate, and cause myself to be worse off as a result, leaving me deflated, overwhelmed, burnt out. And every time I think I've cleared up my outstanding commitments, I often end up finding 3 more I've neglected.

So this has left me with a difficult decision to make... do I continue as I am, and keep struggling to get a YCH animation produced and released? Or to shift gears, change what I do in order to actually create the time I need to make animations? Personally, I believe I need to switch gears, and that means needing to restructure, and to drop a few things...

In the broad sense, this means that the Patreon will shift from its current format into more of a passive tip-jar. The Sketch Request streams, and the Sketch Rewards are going to be formally retired. The next Sketch stream is going to be the last one, along with these rewards being last set. As for seeing WIPs of the animations, that will stay as it always has been.

October's billing cycle will be paused while the Patreon, along with parts of the Discord server go under restructuring. I shall have more information at the beginning of next month after I make and finalise changes, but I thought I would get the biggest changes out of the way first.

To everyone who has stuck around and supported me either since the beginning or recently, supported for a long time or even for just short periods, I can't thank you enough for your support. I just hope that with these changes I can live up to not only your expectations, but my own going forward.
