It was honestly such a stupid idea. It made no noise this way and while the hype was there initially, after everyone found out what it was gonna be like, they watched the performance once and then moved on from it. I hope they got back to how it used to be next year.

2023-11-22 06:17:56 +0000 UTCthe BBMAs were so weird, but i watched the pre-show and they explained that they did it this way because many people don't watch or even have cable tv, and just go watch performances online anyway so they just posted the performances at certain times, and then had every artist nominated record a winners speech and posted the video of the artist who actually won 😅 all extremely weird, but probably a money saver 🤷🏾♀️ recording content is my absolute favorite! i feel like something funny also happens when chan is directing changbin and i love that dynamic 😂 la la la la was originally supposed to go on 5 star as a b-side, so that's probably why there wasn't a full recording behind cause they just cleaned up what they felt needed fixing, but i would've loved to get all of that too

They said: "BBMAS changed their formats this year to help global artists perform in their own countries and not have to travel. Performances and winners was unveiled across the Billboard's social channels."
