F/VoH Ch 144: The Intruder Has Been Taken Care Of

Ryan nodded, although he couldn't see Amanda's expression to determine if she was lying or not. "Alright, make sure everything stays under control. Arash is there to keep an eye on you."

Amanda simply replied, "Thank you, Mr. Ryan."

Ryan sensed the tension between them, but he knew everything was going according to plan. "Now, I will end this conversation. Keep taking care of yourselves and make sure everything goes smoothly."

"Understood, Ryan/Mr. Ryan," Amanda and Cheonghee replied in unison.

After hearing their response, Ryan ended the conversation, gently placing the Magic Handphone down, and then sat back at the table.

Ryan knew that the next step would determine everything. The information he had just received would set off a chain of events that could no longer be stopped. And Ryan was ready to move forward.

Ryan descended the creaking wooden stairs of the inn, carrying Rosseline's Magic Handphone. On the ground floor, Ryan saw Rosseline, Ellina, and Charlotte sitting quietly in one corner of the empty dining room. Without much conversation, Ryan handed the device to Rosseline.

Ryan thanked her and nodded briefly before heading back upstairs.

Once Ryan was in the room, Ellina, Charlotte, and Rosseline also entered, sitting on the bed near the window that overlooked the bustling yet ominous streets of Bertord City. Ryan closed the door and looked at them calmly.

"During this time," Ryan said, in a measured and authoritative tone, "we will remain in this inn until the deadline we have set. Occasionally, we will gather information and hear the latest rumors about the situation in this kingdom."

The three women, Ellina, Charlotte, and Rosseline, nodded in unison. "We understand," they replied almost simultaneously.

...

Time passed slowly and filled with tension. It had been several days since they decided to stay at the inn. News and rumors about the kingdom continued to pour in, but one particular piece of information made the atmosphere more serious.

Rumors began to circulate about a noble involved in suspicious activities. This news prompted Ryan to decide to accelerate their plans.

Then, Cheonghee and Amanda, their allies in another location, contacted Ryan through a secret communication channel. "The intruder in our group has been taken care of," Cheonghee said in a firm yet relieved tone.

Ryan let out a long sigh. "Good job. This will make our next steps easier," Ryan said, feeling a slight burden lifted from his shoulders.

However, when Ryan announced his decision to leave Bertord City and head to the capital of the kingdom, Cheonghee sounded less than pleased. "You're making decisions too quickly, Ryan," Cheonghee said with a subtly protesting tone. "But I know you won't change your mind."

Ryan merely smiled faintly. "Thank you for your understanding."

The next day, Ryan, Ellina, Charlotte, and Rosseline hurried to their Jet Plane location. Aira, the Artificial Intelligence controlling the aircraft, greeted them with a warm electronic voice.

"What is your command, Mr. Ryan?" Aira asked, her voice echoing in the sterile and futuristic control room.

"Take us out of Bertord City," Ryan replied, looking at the large monitor in front of them. "Our destination is the capital of the kingdom."

"Understood," Aira responded, and then the aircraft's systems began to operate. The large engines roared softly, and in an instant, they left Bertord City.

"Captain! We have arrived! Are you sure you want to land here?" Aira's voice rang clearly in the control room, accompanied by Aira's holographic appearance radiating a soft blue light.

Ryan looked at the hologram calmly, nodding slowly before responding. "Yes, just like in Bertord City. It would be too conspicuous if we landed the plane too close. This place is remote enough and far from the capital's surveillance."
