F/VoH Ch 112: Perhaps

"That's right, Master still hasn't returned..." Charlotte added, a bright smile gracing her face. But behind that smile, there was something chilling. A dangerous aura emanated from Charlotte, like a sharp knife hidden behind a flower petal. The aura was so subtle, yet enough to make anyone's hair stand on end.

Rosseline sighed, trying to lighten the increasingly heavy atmosphere. "Perhaps... maybe that person is finishing something?" Rosseline said, in the calmest tone possible. In her heart, Rosseline hoped that these two women would not explode with emotions that could make her feel small amidst the hidden threats they carried.

"Hmm... Maybe..." Charlotte replied with an indifferent tone, but her gaze felt cold and piercingly indifferent. On the other hand, Ellina remained silent—yet, Ellina's silence was far more terrifying. Her expression did not change, but that silence spoke a language only those who understood Ellina's dark side could comprehend.

Seeing the two women, Rosseline felt a cold sensation creeping down her spine. Her heart raced, and the fear that slowly crept within her grew stronger. Now, there was no more doubt in Rosseline's mind; this group was made up of extraordinarily mysterious and dangerous people. "Can I survive here?" Rosseline thought. That question echoed repeatedly in her mind, like an endless mantra of fear.

“Uhm... Well, you know? This... Um...” Ryan tried to start a conversation, but his words hung in the air. Ryan sat in the middle of his room in a simple inn in Bertord City, with an atmosphere that suddenly felt tense and oppressive.

In front of Ryan, Ellina sat expressionless, her face showing no emotion at all, but her cold gaze spoke volumes. It was as if Ryan's presence alongside the foreign woman next to him was something unworthy of attention, perhaps even an insult.

Next to Ellina, Charlotte smiled—a thin, frightening smile, hinting at hidden intentions that could make anyone shudder. Ryan felt as if the temperature in the room dropped several degrees, a chill seeping down to his bones.

On the other hand, Cheonghee appeared to be in stark contrast to the tension filling the room. Cheonghee sat with a bright smile on her face, looking calm and even a bit cheerful, unaware of the storm gathering around her. No, Cheonghee clearly did not care about the lurking danger.

Meanwhile, Rosseline looked panicked, her face radiating anxiety as her eyes darted between Ellina, Charlotte, and Cheonghee. Rosseline bit her lip, her body trembling slightly, feeling trapped in a situation she did not want to face. Fear was evident on Rosseline's face, like a child caught between two groups of wild animals ready to pounce.

How did all this happen? Let’s go back to a few moments ago.

That morning, Ryan had dressed neatly and was preparing to go out on his errands when Cheonghee suddenly appeared and asked to join him. At first, Ryan refused; he knew the situation could get complicated if he brought a new person to where Ellina and Charlotte were waiting. However, Cheonghee was not easily deterred. With sweet persuasion and a bit of insistence, Ryan finally relented and allowed Cheonghee to come along.

They arrived at the inn, and as Ryan opened the door, he found Ellina and Charlotte immediately welcoming him with smiles. But the moment they saw Cheonghee, those smiles vanished. Their faces turned cold and sharp in an instant. Without a word, Ryan knew their mood, and he realized his mistake.

Now, Ryan was in the midst of this complicated situation, trying to find the right words to explain everything.
