The Sopranos Season 6 Episode 12 'Kaisha' Full TV Reaction!!

Idk I think cognitive dissonance is Carmellas (and Meadow and Adriana and a lot of the women on the show) speciality

Jeremy Garner

Not to mention how phony it all is. A great example is how nice Carmella is trying to act towards AJs new girlfriend. Even though as soon as she’s in the other room she runs her down. People always hate AJ but the poor dude can’t do anything right in their eyes.

Jeremy Garner

Funny part is that line Christopher tells Julianna about watching a movie. "We can watch a movie. I got that 50 Cent dvd in my car. They were giving it away at the car wash." The 50 CENT movie was written by Terry Winter, Sopranos writer. (also one of the writers of this episode).

We’re hoping to start Fargo next, but trying to decide how we want to work it for future shows still! -Sam

We didn’t notice Mrs. Wheeler at first! We knew she looked familiar but had to look it up haha -Sam

Agreed

Boy, you're right about good ones coming up. 6B is banger after banger, but Sopranos Home Movies is my ALL TIME favorite episode. Can't wait for next week!

Robert Livingood

It’s like a twisted version of the season 1 finale. Tony is miserable and no longer appreciates the little moments. He’s disconnected and estranged from his family save Meadow. The warmth is gone, good times these are not. Tony came in at the very end and now it’s all gone.

Sol95

I don’t want to overhype the last 9 episodes but these next 9 are some of the finest writing, acting and storytelling you’ll ever see. Honestly? The sixth season almost needs to be seen twice to fully appreciate.

Stan the Man

Boardwalk Empire hopefully, I know it's a long shot, but it's such an underappreciated show.

Andrew

Hey TBR, have you decided what is replacing Sopranos when you finish the series?

Will D

The final 9 episodes are an absolute roller coaster of emotions. Every single episode is a masterpiece. Season 6B is the show basically doing a victory lap to the very end.

Wayne Delaune (cardaderdention)

It’s interesting how some people see that as a sweet Christmas moment. I certainly don’t. You’ve got a family whose house is built by murder and violence, a father who is serially unfaithful to his wife, two people(Chris and Tony) who resent each other. What you are looking at is the phoniness and hollowness of a Hallmark Christmas card. Murder, resenting, sex and violence. And who is missing? Who saved Tony’s life by calling him home? Who did the opening credits of S6 reveal the guardian Angel? Meadow.

Stan the Man

That last scene sums up why I've loved this show for 20 years. You're not watching people celebrate Xmas, you feel like you're there with them. That it ends with my favourite Stones song doesn't hurt either.

David Murray

I love when my ham sandwich has a hint of the dead informant they cut to pieces the night before!

Jeffrey Miller

Great observations Jeffrey but Agent Harris has been turned by Tony and his love of Satriale’s.

Korny

I don't doubt that agent Harris and Tony have some kind of begrudging respect for each other, but I highly doubt he gave Tony the warning out of pure altruism. There is definitely something in it for the FBI. I think it's that the FBI has reasons to want to keep some kind of balance between the families and or they think it might buy them a favor from Tony. He obviously wouldn't straight up rat, but Tony probably has information about all kinds of things which might interest the FBI short of implicating anyone in the mafia. I refuse to believe that Carmela still believes Adriana is alive somewhere. There has to be some serious cognitive dissonance going on. She obviously understands how the family business works, yet when a friend disappears mysteriously she believes the most unlikely story of all time. This is doubly true after Adriana's mom told her about the FBI questioning her. She must know deep down that she was clipped. I want to believe AJ is as amazingly lucky as he's been, but I doubt it. It must suck to always have that doubt in your head that someone only cares about you because of who you are and what you can do for them. Other than that, it was really cute with him carrying around the kid. Christopher has long passed the point where anyone can expect him to have a happy ending at the end of the series. He and Julianna did have chemistry, it's just too bad he has a wife and a kid on the way. He ultimately doesn't know what he really wants in life.

Jeffrey Miller

I’m not going to say more but Daniel was so prescient about Phil’s lieutenants.

Korny

Some really good ones coming up. Looking forward to next week. By the way, did anyone notice Mrs Wheeler from Stranger Things? Edit: I also thought it was amusing that Christopher and Julianna were watching Vertigo. Coming up in a few days.
