Me and my dad got to meet Clint Eastwood, as the VFW scenes in the film were shot at my dad's and my VFW (Menge Post #6756) in Warren, MI. The booth they sit in was actually built by the crew for the movie, and is still used to this day! They were there shooting at the VFW for about 6 days or so. Also, the location of the hardware store and barber shop was shot in Royal Oak, MI, and my apartment at the time was just a few blocks away.
