The Sopranos Season 6 Episode 8 'Johnny Cakes With Guest Julianna Margulies' Full TV Reaction!!

Thank you all for the concern! We're still under the weather and we've just been told by the doctor that we just need to ride it out unfortunately! I'm feeling a bit better, Daniel not so much, and Baby Girl is actually doing extremely well and growing great, despite Daniel and I both losing quite a bit of weight in the last week. -Sam

The Sopranos Season 6 Episode 8 'Johnny Cakes With Guest Julianna Margulies' Full TV Reaction!!

The UK Office is a great idea for a reaction. It's definitely short. Extras on HBO wasn't quite as good as the Office, but I felt it was Gervais' next best thing he did, too.

I've suggested this before just once but in case you may have forgotten I'll just toss it out again one last time if not no worries, "The Offer" just ten episodes, quick watch, you can knock it out in five weeks if you do two episodes a week, Y'all enjoyed The Godfather, this is the story of how that Masterpiece came to be 😁

The Wire! :)

ROME get's my vote.

Deadwood is only 3 seasons and a movie long. But what Deadwood did in those 3 seasons was hard to top, and is regarded as one of the best TV series of all time! Definitely on par with The Sopranos when it come to quality, fantastic writing, unique dialogue (like lowlife Shakespeare) and unscrupulous characters that you might root for. Highly recommend adding it to the poll!

They shouldn’t worry about what other channels do. Other channels have done Soprano reactions as well but who cares about them? We sub to this channel because we enjoy seeing these two react to things. The content that creates the best reaction videos are the shows and movies with twists & turns, high stakes and great characters. That’s why The Wire or Sopranos or deadwood would create the best reactions. Plus it’s important to keep in mind if they react to shows few people have seen, no one will watch the reactions. A show like Six Feet Under just doesn’t meet those requirements. In my opinion anyways. It’s very niche & just isn’t great reacting material. It’s a fine show but I think it would be a mistake.

I would love that one as well because it’s so unique. When it was first announced I reeled in disgust at the thought of another all-time favorite movie becoming “serialized”, which usually means “cheapened”. It took me about four years to even give it a chance—but boy, was I delighted. The last season lost focus, but that’s not so terrible since each season stands on its own with different stories and casts.

I love that series as well—an earlier HBO series, and worthy of all the praise it receives. Also, in the arena of lesser commitments, I would love to see HBO’s ‘Deadwood’ (3 seasons) and ‘Rome’ (2 seasons). Both were a bit of a heartbreak when they ended early. In that regard, some people feel that they were “incomplete”, but I think they can be viewed as extended mini-series instead. Deadwood is regarded by most as a classic, and I certainly agree. Rome has received a lot less public attention, but its production pedigree is truly on par with other HBO of that period—in other words, excellent.

Most critics and fans alike pick "The Wire" at or near the top. What I loved mostly about it was that unlike most organized crime shows/movies, it gave insight to both the criminals and the police..

Robert Smith

a great show to consider reacting to would be Six Feet Under, features Michael C Hall (Dexter), excellent and acclaimed show that nobody has reacted to

Ken Veader

yeah if they wanna copy every single other reaction channel, that shows so played out

Ken Veader

I second Fargo. I think you'll love it since you loved the movie. It has the same tone while still managing to do its own thing at the same time.

Brandon

The Wire, Fargo, Succesion are my top 3 shows for you to watch next! All are great shows you both will love!

UNC

A comedy show on the channel would be nice, something like The Office UK ,only 14 episodes most of which are 30 mins long, so would not take long Or perhaps some Karl Pilkington and "An idiot abroad"

Andrew

I"d have to agree that shows with big surprises and high stakes are best for reacting to. Mad Men and other dialogue driven, interpersonal relationship focused shows can be great, but they're very focused on more universal human experiences such as romantic relationships, job politics, and other things many people will encounter in some way during life. Shows like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad, shows often considered the best TV dramas in history, let people experience a world they'll probably never encounter.

Jeffrey Miller

Please consider Sons of Anarchy, really wild show

Ken Veader

Disagree. Six Feet Under is an ok show but it wouldn’t be good reaction material(outside of the opening scenes). It’s very dry. It’s like Mad Men in that way. Mad Men is an amazing show. One of the best written. But it wouldn’t make very entertaining reaction. Plus Six Feet Under doesn’t have a very large following. These two probably want as many people to watch as possible. Shows like Sopranos, or The Wire, that have betrayal and murder and very real and very large stakes are what make great reaction videos

Stan the Man

Off topic, specifically, but some of you might enjoy this little bit of real life “Paulie” trivia, and the wife of “Silvio” (who are real life husband and wife). Don’t know if I’m even allowed to post links here, but I’ll give it a try. https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sopranos-maureen-van-zandt-knew-tony-sirico-harassing-jimi-hendrix.html/?fbclid=IwAR2uT4QmMXbzsFHD0u0LnO43oajELK3r_9FW2YOnEplbGUM66Zfs4JbudDM

The Wire. It’s the best option after Sopranos

Stan the Man

I vote for Fargo tv show much, much better.

SGato!

I vote for The Shield next, nobody else has done it that I’ve seen.
