I use one screen, but two browsers. Reaction open on one, movie or show on another. Press play on one, pause at the very start of the first scene. Then start the other, and when the scenes line up, press play on the second.

I watch the movie on my TV and the reaction on my laptop. You both press play when TBR says. That's basically it

Super enjoyable reaction, also delighted to hear in your outro that neither of you have seen "The Last Samurai (2003)" 🙌

Greek Mythology was the Marvel of the ancient world.

Obviously a bit different than some of the source material where Paris dies and Helen goes back home with her husband.

This was my first time watching this, and when they said how long the movie was I was like OMG.... but it went by so fast. It was absolutely superior to Gladiator but I feel that sounds worse than it really is. Gladiator was a great film, there's nothing wrong with it.. but this is just in reality so much better..
And for me so much more emotional, and I love how congruent everyone was with who they were.
Like you didn't even have to see the whole movie to know that Achilles wanted no part of the trojan horse thing. It's just dishonorable.
I can't believe Sam didn't know about that. The education system today sheesh. lol but anyway now you know why certain computer viruses are called trojan horses :)
I, too, loved Greek mythology. I used to be obsessed with it in middle school and high school. I remember there's this game for the NES-- can't remember what it's called at the moment but it was like this huge adventure game based on Greek mythology. One of the best games for the NES.
Oh and I love Sam's face when whoever it was said women complicate everything Sam's face is like confirming yes they do.. but they are so worth it.

It’s one of those movies that I know is bad but I can’t help but appreciate it. It really feels like an old fashioned epic from the 50s or 60s. Plus some of the battle scenes are really fun. The fight scene between Hector & Achilles is legit great. And you gotta respect Orlando Bloom taking on this role. He plays a typical heroic role & he was a huge star at this point.

Do they say in the video they couldn’t find the directors cut? Because It’s on iTunes, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play & good old fashion blu ray disc. If a directors cut is available 9/10 that’s the version that should be watched.

It's so strange you guys couldn't find the Director's Cut version. I see it on Amazon Prime. Either way, it's a good movie and it's not like saying "buh buh buh the director's cut is better" after the fact helps anything.

Yeah 53% on rotten tomatoes so basically a love it or hate it kind of movie, typical of a B- rotten tomatoes movie but audiences loved it and it did well at the box office

Yeah, if it wasn't for the many reaction videos I never would have known that it was particularly well liked. 53% critics on rotten tomatoes, 73% audience - most somewhat beloved movies generally have much higher scores. Only one Oscar nom - for costume design. Saw it in 2004, pretty much never thought about it again. Maybe it's a generational thing.

I saw it at the theater with my then girlfriend. It was... ok? I don't remember much. The only things I really remember are when Achilles kills the big guy and him getting shot in the ankle. I'll try watching it again, but I have a feeling it was forgettable for a good reason.

I'm bemused this film is getting a resurgence. It's...not the best

I find this movie far superior to Gladiator which is obviously not a popular opinion but I just really appreciated how both sides had villains and heroes and that truly is war - it is never an all evil against an all good like The Avengers or something - war is complicated and this film so perfectly encapsulates that - not sure why critics didn't like it as a whole - maybe it strays from history but what is history but one big game of telephone anyway - i think the beats are close enough - and Brad Pitt and Eric Bana's fight is iconic

In a movie where almost every main character dies, Sean Bean's casting is quite ironic

we have this one on DVD! My wife loves her some Eric Bana and Brad Pitt--for their acting abilities, of course!

I highly suggest the Directors Cut Version, same with Kingdom of Heaven if y'all ever watch that or Alexander. I find the Directors Cut of a movie if it exists tends to be a better version of what we already got because the movie flows how it was intended before being cut for time. But that's just my personal opinion. So yeah I would really suggest always watching the Directors Cuts of movies if possible. But I understand why you didn't here.
It's actually based off of The Iliad which takes place before the Odyssey but love the knowing it's based off a Greek "legend." Always look forward to y'all's reactions and congrats on the baby!

I'm a Big Fan of Wolfgang Petersen !!! You need to watch "In The Line of Fire" from 1993 with Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich !!! Such a Great Film !!! Another good Petersen Film is "Air Force One" from 1997 with Harrison Ford
