Big Kenny Omega Update, All Out News, FREE AEW ALL OUT UPDATE!

We have a ton of AEW news as it relates to AEW All Out, HBO Max, and a major star.

There seemed to be some audience confusion regarding AEW PPV following the announcement that they'd be available on HBO Max with a ten dollar discount for subscribers. It was confirmed to Fightful that the PPVs will still be featured on Amazon Prime, Triller international, PPV.com, traditional cable and satellite providers.

We're told that naturally, HBO and AEW weren't mentioning that in their press release, and that HBO Max will be the primary method pushed on AEW TV because it's all tied in. However, the other platforms are available.

However, we also have additional news on the plans for AEW All Out, the pre-show, and a big update on Kenny Omega. Please subscribe to our $5.99 tier to see the rest below.

Part of AEW's deal with WBD also includes the Tailgate Brawl, which Fightful Select is told will be exclusive to HBO Max subscribers and WBD platforms. There will be matches included in this, but non-subscribers won't be completely left in the cold. We're told there will be an alternate pre-show available for non-subscribers.

One person not planned for AEW All Out is Kenny Omega. This came as a surprise to many with the show in Canada, but Fightful Select has learned that this has actually been a plan for quite a while.

Sources in AEW confirmed that the angle to write Kenny Omega off is because he had planned time off around this time of the year going back months. They said that Omega has a trip over to Japan planned, in addition to appointments tied to his illnesses and injuries. It had been reported he was wrestling through pain, which he confirmed, but from what we understood, that has been the norm for him for a long time and he pretty well knows it will be moving forward.

We're told Kenny will be at Tokyo Game Show.

Unless something changes, Omega will not be at AEW All Out, and AEW's angle with Kyle Fletcher was to help explain that on TV, while putting over Fletcher.

Comments

I would presume Kenny is heading out to Japan on business rather than pleasure. The Tokyo Game Show is in 3 weeks time. In particular, both Capcom and Square Enix will have major parts to play and we know Kenny was/is a collaborator with both companies.

Kenny Omega should put his trip on pause and put his company on his back when they need him with Will, Swerve and Jay out.
