The valley that Paardenrust is situated in is well-known for its beauty and mild climate, allowing the cultivation of many fruits and vegetables that otherwise would not survive the typically harsh summers or winters. This, combined with its relative proximity to the coast, has led to it being a popular source of more exotic produce, and a hotspot for foodies and chefs alike.
Werner has always loved two things: creating things, and making people happy. He gravitated early to cooking as an ideal fusion of his desires, first learning under his mother’s watchful hand in his childhood kitchen, then going on to consume every cookery book he could find. Cooking became an escape from reality as well; the buffalo struggled in school, and each new year—though started with the best intentions—invariably became a grim march to ensure he reached the minimum marks needed to not be held back.
When school finally came to an end, Werner knew exactly what he wanted to do. Something that would simultaneously make his poor final grades mostly irrelevant, and also let him devote his life to his love of cooking: culinary school. It took effort and cost, but he was accepted, and he believed he might finally be able to excel at the one thing he cared about. But…culinary school is not for the faint of heart. Extreme hours, constant stress, and the expectation that you will perform - or leave. Werner was pushed to his limit…and it broke him. Dejected, feeling like a failure, Werner believed his dreams dashed forever. He returned home, lost and unsure, his self-confidence ruined.
But the longing to cook—to create things for others to enjoy—still burned in him, and he found new ways to express it. He worked a series of jobs in many of the simple, mom-and-pop restaurants that line the Great Coastal Road that runs along the south-eastern coast of the country, seeking to learn at least one new thing from each owner. After finishing up each night, he would watch whatever late-night cooking shows were on television, taking ideas from the dishes they made and applying them in his own work. Patrons would receive simple toasted sandwiches made with a care that belied their cost, or garnished with delicate and marvellous care.
After a few years, Werner found himself working in Paardenrust Valley, cooking for a tea garden popular with tourists and pensioners. The low demands on his growing culinary skills gave him time and space to experiment even more, and develop a style that was all his own. It ended up paying off. The seneschal of Paardenrust Manor, having stopped over for a quick lunch, was impressed enough to ask to speak to the chef…and that’s how Werner became the new chef at Paardenrust.
Character
Werner is a classically good-hearted character who only wants the best for others, and rarely thinks of himself before taking action to help another. He is aware that he has needs, but can often convince himself that, overall, he has it pretty good—better than others. If he decides to consider you a friend, there’s not a lot he wouldn’t do for you. Over the years, that attitude has led to him getting hurt more than a few times, but he always picks himself up and chooses to believe that it’ll be better next time.
He is extremely friendly and outgoing; quick to make bonds with people, and equally quick to bring them into his confidence. He is aware that he’s not the smartest He loves gossip, and always seems up to date on the latest
Kinks & Sexual Ethology
Werner is a himbo. Young, handsome, and eager to please, he has attracted male attention for many years. His sexuality developed early and with gusto, and has not flagged since. His innate desire to please others has always made him happier in a submissive role, and he enjoys nothing more than having his large body used by a commanding, eager dom. But he’s not averse to a more romantic encounter…as long as his hole gets filled at the end of it.
His species is very bulky and muscular, and he takes care to maintain his form with regular workouts that ensures he does not put on weight despite a job that involves constantly tasting food. His size means he’s typically larger than his partners, but he’s more than happy to be accommodating and assume whatever position is required.
Design Goals
The purpose of Werner is to have an entirely submissive character that willingly bends to suggestion and is able to fall for the player in a typically soppy manner.
