Mandy Rose released by WWE

Fightful has learned that WWE felt they were put in a position where they needed to release her due to what they considered the explicit nature of the content on her FanTime page. They considered this to be outside the parameters of her WWE contract. In following up, WWE sources indicated to Fightful that they felt like the content was not appropriate for one or more of their partner relationships, and that she didn't seem interested in ceasing posting.
Fightful gained word last night shortly before the NXT show that Mandy Rose would be dropping the title to Roxanne Perez in what was called an "abrupt" decision. Needless to say, she won't be at tonight's NXT tapings.
It's worth noting, we don't have information now as to whether or not Mandy had requested the release, if it were on WWE's side completely, or a mutual agreement. We've learned that in recent months Mandy had indicated to others that she realized the content and nature of her page could get her in trouble with management.
A note was passed to Fightful this week that one former WWE talent beat her best financial WWE year in 2022 with her own exclusive content page.
Mandy sent a message to her subscribers today, saying "Hey guys, thank you for all the messages. I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don't worry the page is still up! ;)"
We're working on more details as we can get them.

WWE/NXT consistently promoted many former and many current WWE/NXT for their looks and sex appeal. But when the talent actually makes money on their own for similar stuff (and an independent contractor) that is forbidden. WWE again wants their talent on independent contractor deals, but control where they work, when they work, and what they can do.
