Added 2022-09-22 17:10:28 +0000 UTCFightful's Scott Edwards had a chance to interview Pro Wrestling NOAH's Keiji Muto, who will be retiring from professional wrestling in February after a nearly 40-year career. Some of the main talking points from Muto include how he balanced being Keiji Muto and The Great Muta, his match and relationship with Kaito Kiyomiya, and how he will look back at his career.
When talking about balancing between being himself or The Great Muta, Muto explained them as rivals. Muto made the point that the success on both sides would make each jealous, driving both Muto and Muta to be better.
When talking about Kaito Kiyomiya (who was his first opponent in his retirement tour), Muto explained that he gave his moves like the Shining Wizard to Kiymoiya because earned them. He also said that it'll be up to Kiyomiya as to whether or not he can use them for himself.
Finally, Muto summarized by his career by talking about all the main eventers he has faced -- saying he has faced more than any pro wrestler in the world. He hopes all can enjoy Keiji Muto despite there not being much time left in his career.
