WWE expecting to sign prospect

An MMA talent is expected to head to WWE.

Fightful has learned that Bellator MMA star Valerie Loureda is expected to be signed by WWE, if she hasn't already. We were told by WWE sources that Loureda made a great impression recently, and seemed like a "slam dunk" to end up in the company. The last we'd heard, the signing wasn't official as of yet, but they hoped to have her signed and able to report to the WWE Performance Center by mid-July.

Loureda has been training with Gangrel, Neilo Costa and others since WrestleMania, and then did a week-long tryout at the WWE's Performance Center recently. She was seen around NXT talent along the way, and we're told by multiple people at the Performance Center that they heard she did very well.

The 23-year old Bellator MMA fighter is a 3-1 pro, last winning a split decision over Taylor Turner in November 2021. We're told Bellator wanted to keep her, and her deal would be on hold and would resume if she's released by WWE.
