The Bouncers Interview notes

Fightful spoke with Beer City Bruiser and Brawler Milonas, The Bouncers ahead of the ROH shutdown for an interview we tabled. They spoke frankly about their Ring of Honor deals, noting that they were up near the start of 2022. The two signed exclusive, full-time deals with ROH in 2021, after being on per appearance deals prior to that. This is a bit of a surprise considering Beer City Bruiser had been with the company since 2015, and WWE had shown interest in him back in 2018 when they entered talent hoarding mode. Milonas and Bruiser noted that they're very happy in Ring of Honor and thankful for the company, and hoped to stay there. Their deals matched up in length.

When speaking with ROH talent, Fightful usually asks about the series of talent meeting the company had to improve morale in late 2019. This was after some very public spats with Joey Mercury, and the company aimed at focusing more on what the wrestlers wanted. Both men stated that listening to the roster went a long way, and they had some town hall meetings over zoom at the start of the pandemic as well. Milonas also mentioned that Ring of Honor often covered a lot of the expenses wrestlers pay for in bigger companies. They revealed that they were planned for the 2020 NWA Crockett Cup as a part of the NWA-ROH talent exchange before the pandemic derailed that.
