- Strong started training MMA in 2012 with Josh Rafferty, who has worked with Sheamus, Batista, Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and others.
- He said about eight months after Marina Shafir gave birth to their child, she defeated a 300 pound woman in a grappling competition.
- When he "quit" NXT in storyline, he had to make himself believe it to make other people believe it. He even told his mom he quit WWE.
- He confirmed Arturo Ruas was slated for Diamond Mine, and said there were names thrown at him and he made suggestions to. He trusts anything Shawn Michaels, Triple H and lead writer Johnny Russo put forth because of their track record.
- He put over Molly Holly as being very helpful to him.
