Bad Bunny Dominates WWE Merch Sales

Bad Bunny was a gigantic merchandise hit, too. At one point last week, Bad Bunny held all four of the top merch selling spots, with his popularly received t-shirt taking spots 1, 3 (women's) and 4 (youth), and the pullover hoodie at number 2. This drove over $500,000 in sales to WWE and Bad Bunny as a result. At the time we got the information, the only other person in the top five was Roman Reigns. Even then, the #5 spot did about 65 percent of the sales of the number four seller, and less than five percent of the top seller. To say that Bad Bunny was a big success is an understatement

Comments

Means Bad Bunny fans are super loyal to him and likely do not care about wrestling. This is not indicative that WWE is more popular

Very smart business, bring in a younger fan base.

Bad Bunny is super popular in Latin America and liked by even people in their 30s and 40s. I've been a big fan of his, even though I'm a 34 year old. I was one of those who bought a hoodie from the WWE shop . His music appeals to nostalgia a lot and has shown that he loves wrestling. When I heard last year that he was talking with Triple H, I had expected only a one-off appearance. He's got people in Puerto Rico talking a lot about his apperances in WWE.

Bad Bunny, Good Money

Tyler Center

I have no idea who this dude is, but props to everyone involved. I just hope it doesn’t lead to TOO many celebrity spots moving forward.

Chris

So they're so adamant on not building new stars that they're making merchandise based on popular music artists now and are relying on THAT for easy money, too. Wow.

CSDX

People don't understand how popular he is!!! This is why its money for all parties.

Matt Payne

These "who?" people need to sit down now.

JOSE G FLORES

Which really makes those comments of "Who?" All the more ridiculous.
